If there was one thing he'd tell himself, after everything that's happened to them, is to never forget her voice. Her voice was what had pulled him from the darkness so many times, more times than he'd like to admit. She was his light, the moon in his sky.

He could have sworn her voice was a dream, calling out for him like when they first met in his dreams years ago.

She called a second time, and that forced him from his thoughts to look up in her direction, towards her voice and her light. She was there and she looked real and like his Usagi. Everything was forgotten at that point - the list, the fox, his objective here - as he moved closer to her, his footsteps quickening to a near run to get to her. His hands to to her face first, thumbs against her cheeks. He knew every inch of her face. "If you are a dream... I don't ever want to wake up."
