That swan did look pathetic. And while Ariadne was more fond of plants than animals, she had a certain weakness for birds. Maybe because she resembled one so much. Maybe because she knew what it felt like to fly. And to have broken wings.

Cautiously, she moved closer again, still keeping her hands up defensively. She took a quick sniff of the air and immediately picked up on ozone. There was magic present. Not surprising, but it might explain a few things. "Do...do you understand what I'm saying? Honk once if you do."
