Or where someone other than Peter had gotten the spider powers. Like maybe.... "It's not another MJ, is it? That would be weird. Kind of cool, but mostly just weird."
Which begs the question, is this even Peter? Or one of the three Peters she knows? She should probably keep certain private details private just in case it's not, but it's easier for her to trust Spider-Man than it is just about anyone else in the universe, even when he unceremoniously dives from the tree with her in tow.
With a sharp gasp as instinct takes over and makes her wrap her arms around his shoulders, MJ tenses as though expecting him to take her web-swinging through the forest. When she realizes that they'd only landed on the ground and he's already let go of her, she tries not to feel self-conscious as she slips her arms from around him and takes a step back with an awkward smile and slight wave.
"MJ. Michelle Jones, in case you know that name. Apparently there's a universe where I go by Mary Jane? Not sure what that one's all about, but I know a total of three of you." Holding a hand up at just about eye-level, she continues, "The one I'm closest to is about yay high, teenager, always apologizing for something. Do you generally go around universe-hopping? Because I literally just found out about the multiverse so this is all still really new and incredibly problematic for me."
