The information is good, even if it doesn't help him now it will help him at a later date, so he accepts it without complaint. The situation really isn't that out of the ordinary for him, so he doesn't feel that awkward about it. He meets many fans, he just can't keep track of them all, and to be fair they don't expect him to. He does his job being nice and personable and making them happy all the same.
