They didn't think heroes could really protect people anymore. You guys were trying to save everyone you guys could, get them protected inside the schools. You guys were doing really, really important stuff."

"But ... I ..." Izuku swallowed and kept his voice steady. "It's all my fault. They're after me. I don't want anyone else to get killed because of me. I don't want everyone else to die. Especially you guys. You're not useless and weak, you're helping save everyone else."

"I've ... just got to be strong enough to do this," Izuku told them. "I know you don't believe in me. But I don't have a choice.
