( Rose takes in his eyes once again β€” familiar for their uniqueness, rather like Maul's in that way. Eyes that most would register as inhuman, but that she isn't afraid of.

She listens to him speak of trying to find her, wandering the shore and seeking her out. It reminds her exactly of how she'd searched for Sharon on those strange, warm black sands β€” and it pulls her heartstrings tight to learn that someone did that for her, too. It's such a strange thing, to hold onto the hope that someone can be found. It's the force that's driven her for so long now, ever since she first lost that younger version of her daughter to Silent Hill. Desperation, hope; they're two sides of the same coin, maybe.

Thank you for looking out for me. When I was heading back in, I couldn't help being afraid of those dark waters.

( She's certainly stepped into darkness before, willingly, again and again β€” but that doesn't mean without fear. The water was inky black, her heart was pounding. She was afraid, and lonely, and didn't want to leave her loved ones behind. )

I know time is.. strange here β€” it was only moments ago that I left, but... it means something, that someone was looking out for me back then.

( She means that, nodding somberly as she continues listening to him. He's only been here a day β€” so he's extremely new to this place, as well. It can't be simple coincidence that both of them are here; they've clearly been brought from the same place, Trench, and... maybe for the same reason? She doesn't know yet, can only focus on what she does know. )

A change... Something did feel... strange. A sort of light, or... brightness. I'm not sure what to make of it. Something happened to you, too?
