It's a pleasant conversation, something Arthur hasn't had in a while. He finds himself laughing along with Varric. Never did he expect to be explaining some fairy tale to a new arrival.
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is the name of the story. She's a human woman who is supposedly the most beautiful in the land. The queen is threatened by her beauty and essentially puts a bounty on her life. The dwarves shelter her-- I'm fairly certain there's a happy ending there."
There's so many adaptions he doesn't even know anymore. Fairy tales haven't ever been much of his thing: he's lost himself in historical texts, dossiers for missions... something so frivolous seems like lifetimes ago.
Right. The lists. He's curious to get a look at Varric's at some point but for now Arthur has no problem answering any inquiries about his own.
"Gods," he finishes typing before clarifying, "well, they were gods once. Now they're not so impressive. The world forgets them after thousands of years-- it makes them lazy and complicit."

Easier to kill too.
"Do you have those back home?"
