( Hearing the emotion in Sharon's voice, Rose smiles again and reaches to squeeze one of her hands this time, the gesture warm and comforting. She's here, she's here now, and Sharon's right — 'I'd like to think we'd find each other again and again.'
Rose believes that, too. She has to. And... it's come true, hasn't it? She remembers when she'd first washed up on the shores of Trench, spending those first few months without her family, without Sharon. Every day was anguish, but she kept looking, kept searching. Back in Silent Hill, too. This time, she woke up and found her daughter again. Each time, she's always found her in the end. She knows she'll keep doing it, no matter how many times. And that thought makes it all easier, makes things feel... okay. For all the loss, and grief, and loneliness they've all felt.... things will be okay, as long as they can find each other.
She watches Mayerling's face as he speaks, her expression softened again, somber, aching, but her heart so warmed by the man's words, too. )

Leaving Sharon behind in Trench was one of the hardest things she's ever, ever had to do. But knowing that she had someone to meet, and fall in love with.... that her heart was being taken care of.... It helps soothe Rose's own.
