PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

Nicknames! I'm on the hunt for a suitable affectionate nickname for my girlfriend. It's harder than I thought it would be.

Hoooh, got any you're workshopping, then?

Well, I think it should be somewhat food related. [Because she is a snack-] I first called her batata because a book told me it was an appropriate term of endearment, but then she called me Sweet Potato, and we can't very well both have the same nickname!

I don't have that book anymore, and I don't know enough of her human language to come up with something else. So I'm back to square one.

[Kinda up in the air if she even knows what sweet potatoes are at this point. Besides the obvious "potatoes that are also sweet".]

[ . . . Batata? He doesn't know what batata is. But if she was called Sweet Potato and it's the same thing, then it's probably another name for it in some other language, right? Food related... so it's more a term of endearment we're looking for than just a nickname based off her name. Because Luz is pretty short and he doesn't know how or why you make a nickname out of that... ]

Food related, huh... Is there a particular reason why?

Oh, I suppose not really. Mostly because that's where I started out, and it seemed appropriate. I'm not against other ideas!

I don't mind listing off some foods I know and see if you like any. I just know randomly the first one that came to me was "button."

Let's see then... Cupcake, peanut, honey, sugar... [ He's counting off food things in his head. Sugar, as he says it, sounds ... weird? Hmm ] You know I wonder why it's so easy to gravitate to sweet things?

Good point! Though I think there's probably something to be said for spice, too.

Hmm... is there a good food from the Human Realm that is both sweet and spicy?

... huh. A whole bunch of like Chinese foods? Probably some Japanese or Korean ones too, I'd bet. Also a lot of combinations I can picture like a mango salsa, or mixing chiles with things like honey. Cayenne pepper on deserts here and there too?

I'm not so familiar with the first two, but I've had a lot of Korean leftovers thanks to Cale. I remember chiles and peppers from Gus's human language book... maybe something there...

[Though neither of them are Korea, so maybe that's a weird thought.]

"Honey" has potential. That's quite spicy!

A-ah? The honey I'm familiar with is pretty famously sweet unless you mix in spices?

Not usually, no, unless the recipe calls for it. But fire bee honey is very potent on its own.

Ah, so it's a specific type, then!

It's the only one I know.

Well, then that one works both ways! But, but, but, I do recommend trying out some of the "human world" honey sometime.

Once things are back to normal, I'll see if I can find some. I'm sure Luz will help.
