( What a loaded question. The nitty gritty right down to the truth of it all is that neither son of Sparda is ok. Both carry their own traumas they refuse to talk about, Vergil having lived so much of his life as a puppet consumed with the uncontrollable desire for more power and Dante a depressed functioning alcoholic carrying the silent guilt of being unable to save the two people he loved most; don't even get him started on his old man Sparda. Both brothers have lost so much in their time, he just does a better job at coming off nonchalant about it when around others and not some awkward snob like his brother does when in social situations.
