Their conversation continues its shift away from Vergil's terrible past and current difficulties toward a discussion of Nero as relevant to her. It's likely far easier for Vergil, and Mizu doesn't mind learning more about Nero. Her hand-to-hand's improved, but it's not her passion like with swords. It's useful, both for her revenge and the various associated situations where she needs to brawl or use her hands and for the secondary goal of doing better against Vergil with it, an interesting time for them when neither of them focuses on it. For all she's a swordsman, she always needs the ability to improvise and adapt. She cannot have her hands taken from her without serious issue.

Vergil seems to think along the same lines, and Mizu hums in agreement. "That would be good," Mizu says, "For all the reading I've done on London, I still have no idea how it will be to go there. I certainly cannot bet everything on having my sword. I did not even bring a sword to confront Fowler in Edo. The fox spirit came when I was deciding whether or not to plunge his dagger deeper into his neck."

Fowler, for his part, tried to buy his life with that one word. A foreign city Mizu knew nothing about. "White men may not be demons to you or to Nero, but they are mine."
