They present themselves as such, but their presentation does not always align with the experience of them. Vergil finds most of the other Star Children to be nosy and intrusive. Their need to help and intervene leads them to ignore any expressed disinterest, and they rarely accept when someone wishes to be left alone. But whether or not that aligns with her temperament, she's likely better equipped to manage it than Vergil is from the looks of things. At least managing it in a way that most would consider kind.] And the fox spirit does as a fox spirit will. When the mood strikes her, she plays her games with everyone here. Sometimes, you've a choice in your participation in them. Other times, you do not. It all depends on her whims.
