In the future, I turn into a zombie. Most of you haven't seen it since I haven't been turned into it since October a couple years ago, and only a couple of you were in my trial last January. It's her regular morning run. Since Gideon isn't a super early morning person, many other people are up and about. Despite the cold, she's toasty and warm. The Ninth House was colder than this. It might seem a perfectly normal morning, except as she jogs past someone, she opens her mouth.
"I forget how fast I can run," Gideon declares. Her face screws up in surprise. It's true, but why'd she say that? She shrugs. "Want a piggy back ride? I can show you."
