Mewtwo blinks a few times. Recently, he had heard of phenomena that demonstrated the existence of multiple realities, and though he didn't personally encounter any of the so called Ultra Beasts, he had kept himself informed just in case they ever became a threat to the sanctuary he had created for the Pokemon he had created. In all the research that had been conducted, Pokemon seemed to be a universal constant. The idea that there were worlds without them was a revelation he wasn't sure how to fully process. After all, how do you describe such a concept you take for granted, but seems to be wholly alien to another?
Pokemon are creatures that roam my world, and multiple others. In all cases, they form symbiotic relationships with humans in a variety of ways. Some form purely emotional bonds, acting as pets. Others aid in construction, farming, and the like. The most common, however, are those that engage in competitive battles. Pokemon have a seemingly genetically coded desire for self improvement, but most lack the strategic mind that humans possess. Thus many will attack humans that have Pokemon with them in an attempt to either practice their own abilities, or be 'captured' by that human and be trained by that human. There are multiple competitive leagues based around Pokemon battling. However there are also those that have powers and abilities far beyond the rank and file. Humans refer to them as 'legendary' Pokemon. Creatures strong enough to have entire religions and creation myths based on them, with Mew being one such legendary Pokemon.
Mewtwo also cocks his head in confusion though as he listens to Quattro's explanations of Newtypes and their abilities. Again his own frame of reference seems to be something of a hindrance, but he doesn't elaborate further. It seems odd that humanity is getting to the point that Quattro has achieved but has yet to develop true telepathy or telekinisis like what Mewtwo is familiar with.
Psychics are... nothing unique in my world. I admit, the manifestation of psionic phenomena you exhibit is unlike anything I've encountered before. It almost seems to act on a subconscious level. But if it makes you feel any better, while I may not be the best to explain things in a way that is sufficiently digestible, I do understand your intent.
