February 2026 - March 2026 Test Drive Meme

February 2026-March 2026 TDM
Introduction

[ TDM QuestionsJump to CommentsFull Navigation ]

This Test Drive meme is open to all.

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Test Drive Meme! Please feel free to test drive any and all characters regardless of your intent to apply or whether you have an invite or not.

All TDMs are game canon and work like "mini-events". For new players and characters, you can choose to have your TDM thread be your introduction thread upon acceptance or start fresh. Current players are also allowed to have in-game characters post to the TDM so long as they mark their top levels ‘Current Character.’

TDM threads can be used for spoon spending at any time by characters accepted into the game.

Playing and interacting with the TDMs will allow characters to immediately obtain a canon item from home, especially weapons or other things they may have had on their person when they were pulled from their worlds! There will always be a prompt that provides some sort of "reward" to characters who complete certain tasks.

Current players are always encouraged to tag new people on the TDM!

🦊 New Star Children meet the Fox still in their worlds, and she brings them into the new realm of Folkmore. As you follow her, your body begins to change and new characteristics emerge. These may stay for a while, or perhaps they will hide away after. And during all of this, the Fox explains to you where you will be going: to Folkmore.

and then... you fall like a shooting star, falling to the land in a burst of starlight.

🦊 Experienced Star Children are already familiar with this time of the month. There are shooting stars all across the sky, and some fall to the land, which means the Fox has brought new arrivals. These newly arrived Star Children will face some tests, but Thirteen wants the more seasoned residents to participate as well.

Perhaps you follow the falling stars on your own, or perhaps the Fox simply teleports you there, but it appears you too will be part of this.

A Challenging Arrival .
Content Warnings: Minor injuries, optional states of mind, forcible lie detection.

Star Children arrive on an island floating in the sky, with lush fields and goats just waiting to befriend them. Instead of being for just grazing, the fields at the moment are set up with an obstacle course. Various challenges are set up, things like rock walls, space to race through and over different obstacles, such as crawling through tunnels, rope walls, jumping from one ledge to the next or even balance beams or ziplines. The course is not set, in fact, moving to the start line it seems to morph and change so each attempt is a fresh experience. For those that enjoy another challenge, there’s a pool set up, with various inflatable rafts, balls and other obstacles for jumping over with a rather wet landing.

Unique to the new Star Children, they will find that they cannot complete the course alone, something will stop them from crossing the start line, until they pair up with someone as they’re not in this alone. An additional challenge has been imposed, to help them break the ice. Anyone working with a new Star Child will find the challenge imposed on them too. Any acts of deception, both to one another and to themselves will find them locked in place, an inability to move forward until the truth comes to light. Should they avoid this, or reject it, they will be pushed back to the start line. This applies to at least their first run, but Lavender is likely to impose more, should the truth continue to be avoided.

For the additional trouble, at the end of the course the participants will find a box waiting for them with an item of their choice from home, this can include a weapon or magical item.

A snack stall is set up with an afternoon tea theme, offering a menu of teas that might make the course a little more fun.

The teas on offer include various teas that are labelled with an indication of how they may affect the drinker, and this can be found on the menu:

Witch’s Brew: An insightfully magical experience.
Honey Rose: Ask for this with feeling.
Apple Spice: A quick warm up.
Orange Ginger: Worries will just float away.
Cotton Candy Bubble Tea: It lives up to the hype.

Witch’s Brew increases one’s insight in charting a better path and may be helpful in cooperation or getting the edge in competition. Honey Rose heightens one’s ability to engage on an emotional level, making it much easier to read one’s teammate or opponent. Apple Spice increases one’s speed, at the cost of feeling a little warm, be sure to drink lots of water on the course. Orange Ginger allows the ability to float about a foot off the ground at will, allowing for some extra jumping power. Cotton Candy Bubble Tea increases one’s perception, seeming to slow down time around them just enough to maybe give an edge. Only one effect can be channeled at a time - drinking a second cup of tea will overwrite the effect and so Star Children should strategize carefully.

While in the area, new Star Children are encouraged to explore Never Fade, with its many amenities, windmill homes and to pick up a brand new goat friend to help them out in times of need.

  • New Star Children arrive in Never Fade, to be greeted with a challenging obstacle course.
  • They can expect the first run to include challenges set up to avoid lies, both to the others they meet and themselves. Lavender may impose this on more than one run for stubborn participants.
  • A variety of fun flavoured teas with different effects are available for strategizing to complete the various challenges.
  • Completion of a run on the obstacle course can reward a Star Child with an item from home, this one can be a weapon.
  • Watch out for goat interference.
Web of Friendship .
Content Warnings: None.

A storm is brewing in Folkmore, and the new Star Children are caught up in the thick of it. In addition to the obstacle course, insistent goats may be nudging Star Children towards the crafting station instead, as there’s no obvious way to leave the island. Never Fade stands out as a sanctuary from the many dangers in Exile below, meaning those who remain there are perfectly safe.

Goat friends will attempt to keep new Star Children on the island by tugging lightly on their clothing to get their attention, maybe to encourage them to sit in the cafe, or hide out of the way. Experienced Star Children may be around seeking refuge or looking to help in a more indirect way, like herding new Star Children to safety, and getting to know them.

There is a large tent set up with a HELP WANTED sign above the canvas. Inside, Star Children will find various ropes of different sizes, lengths, colours and a variety of sticks so that rope ladders and netting can be made to facilitate a much safer route from Never Fade to the rest of Folkmore. It’s hard to know when someone is going to need to get up there or get down, so it’s important to connect the threads together. Along with the bindings, there are several pages of getting to know you questions, offering a hint to making this webbing truly work.

Tying simple knots doesn’t seem to do the trick though, while they might work for a time, they seem to come undone just as easily, however Star Children who open up to those around them may find that the ropes seem to connect on their own. Thinner ropes connect with simple answers, things like favorite foods or colors are enough to bring them together, but the thickest of ropes require a little more depth, but the sooner things are connected, the better.

There is no immediate danger in this part of Never Fade, but safety can’t be guaranteed if Star Children venture outside of it.

  • Some things aren’t right in Folkmore, and goats will try to keep Star Children in the area.
  • A crafting station is available for Star Children to help with the greater efforts with the chaos below, by making netting and rope ladders for ease of access to Never Fade.
  • Rope connections are done through sharing. The smaller the information, the smaller the rope connection, so getting to know each other is the key.
  • There is no risk of danger in Never Fade, but those brave enough to make their way elsewhere may not be so lucky.
