He doesn't have a precise timeline for the war, it tended to come and go, and he remembers really gunning for SOLDIER when another, proper war started up because he'd wanted to be a hero and fell for all the propaganda for it, because he was yet another stupid small-town kid who thought they could be hot shit like the war hero Sephiroth. "I don't know if what we're seeing is closer to my time or yours- some of it fits, some doesn't. It was before though, I can say that much. The war with Wutai officially ended like... 7 years ago, I think?" He counts idly on his fingers. "Four years, then one, then two... yeah, around seven. Early year, 2001."
