[At least the kid looked alright. And he said he was fine so Fjord would just trust that, he seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders.
Fjord wasn't watching or he'dve clocked the familiar elements- the coastal city visible in the background, the variety of races of the children- humans, elves, half-elves, even a dwarven girl with her hair in braids. A dark-haired man posted up near a horse and wagon watching the hubbub as it became more purposeful, older children grabbing nets from the back of the wagon before darting back towards the water, the younger snatching up buckets and scattering across the sand and rocks.
And Fjord himself definitely sported differences. Tusks too short still to be seen, but the skin color was the most obvious difference, the yellow, slit-pupil eyes another change. And while Kotaru wouldn't know that it was because of this new place, the black and white wolf ears and tail were definitely another inhuman element.]
Well... I suppose it depends what the place you're from is like, what might be different or not. [He considered the question though, rubbing thoughtfully at his jaw.] Talked to a couple people who said their worlds were... all humans. No magic, so they do stuff through technology. My world we've got lots of different sorts of people. Humans, elves, dwarves, tieflings, the list goes on. Got magic too, but your average person probably isn't gonna make use of it in their day to day life typically. Takes time and money to learn it if you don't have some naturally, so it's not real practical, you know? See a lot of it around though.
