February-March 2024 Test Drive Meme

February-March 2024 TDM
Introduction

[ TDM QuestionsJump to CommentsFull Navigation ]

This Test Drive meme is open to all.

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Test Drive Meme! Please feel free to test drive any and all characters regardless of your intent to apply or whether you have an invite or not.

All TDMs are game canon and work like "mini-events". For new players and characters, you can choose to have your TDM thread be your introduction thread upon acceptance or start fresh. Current players are also allowed to have in-game characters post to the TDM so long as they mark their top levels ‘Current Character.’

TDM threads can be used for spoon spending at any time by characters accepted into the game.

Playing and interacting with the TDMs will allow characters to immediately obtain canon items from homes especially weapons or other things they may have had on their person when they were pulled from their worlds! There will always be a prompt that provides some sort of "reward" to characters who complete certain tasks.

Current players are always encouraged to tag new people on the TDM!

🦊 New Star Children meet the Fox still in their worlds, and she brings them into the new realm of Folkmore. As you follow her, your body begins to change and new characteristics emerge. These may stay for a while, or perhaps they will hide away after. And during all of this, the Fox explains to you where you will be going: to Folkmore.

and then... you fall like a shooting star, falling to the land in a burst of starlight.

🦊 Experienced Star Children are already familiar with this time of the month. There are shooting stars all across the sky, and some fall to the land, which means the Fox has brought new arrivals. These newly arrived Star Children will face some tests, but Thirteen wants the more seasoned residents to participate as well.

Perhaps you follow the falling stars on your own, or perhaps the Fox simply teleports you there, but it appears you too will be part of this.

Soon You'll Get Better .
Content Warnings: Power Nullification, Potential Kidnapping, Potential Animal Spirit Harm

The island of Never Fade can no longer be seen in the sky from elsewhere in Folkmore, enclosed within a large purple tinted cloud. Within that cloud, the island is under water—a dreamy purple underwater that all Star Children can breath in if they breath and function in if they function on electricity, so on and so forth. It causes no more difficulties than reduced visibility and greater effort to walk. It's even possible to swim underneath the island, so long as Star Children make sure to make landfall before they get too exhausted and… well… fall.

Friendnapped

The purple water has streaks of silver shot throughout it. Beware, these silver streaks neutralize powers, canon and role abilities alike, for at least an hour. A neutralized Legend won't be able to sense others in danger. A neutralized Myth won't sense danger coming. A neutralized Familiar won't be able to shapeshift to help others. That may set of a danger alarm but not any spidey-sense. These silver streaks are harbingers of spirits recently returned to Folkmore thanks to donations at the Shattered Spoon Shrine: lonely sharks.

The source of the silver streaks in the water, these silver gray sharks swim up and gently bite people. These bites make people go instantly limp but otherwise don't do any damage. They won't even break the skin. Once limp, the lonely sharks take their prey new best friends down to a cave or grotto off the underside of Never Fade. These caves are full of silver water, saturated by the magic of lonely sharks, and the entrances are covered by a thin silver barrier that prevents Star Children from leaving. That means should a Star Child track down where someone is being kept, should they enter its home, they too will be trapped there.

Being held by the lonely sharks isn't the worst experience. These spirits will try to please their new friends, giving them their favorite foods and perhaps even an item from home. This may even be a weapon or magical item. Mind, the magic of these items will be neutralized in the shark's cave. It is possible to fight a lonely shark, even to kill one, but that will only be a temporary measure. Star Children will remain trapped and have to wait for the lonely shark to revive—with even more golden cracks than before. In the end, the only way to escape are hugs, cuddles, and other measures of friendship. Once all the golden cracks have thinned and disappeared, Star Children can leave.

Spread the Love

By the time mid-March comes around, most of the lonely sharks have been fully healed and no longer kidnap Star Children. Instead they swim the None of the Above tunnels below the island's surface, where they provide guidance to Star Children who ask them how to get somewhere. If Star Children have nowhere particular in mind, the lonely sharks encourage Star Children to make their way toward the Shattered Spoon Shrine.

The lonely sharks still create silver streaks in the water that neutralize powers, but they will accompany Star Children and warn them of some of the dangers. When voices call their names, the sharks will snuggle up against Star Children to provide comfort. They're devoted to helping Star Children reach the shrine. Once there, they will encourage the Star Children to donate Lore to one of the broken spoons there, each spoon representing spirits who have left, spirits who became shells of themselves from lack of lore, or ghosts.

Star Children who donate Lore will find their companion lonely shark presenting them with an item from home. This may even be a weapon or magical item. Mind, the magic will be neutralized until the Star Child has spent at least an hour away from the silvery water lonely sharks create. Lonely sharks will happily spend as much time with Star Children as they're willing but will show the way back to the surface either via LIM (Lavender Institute of the Mind) or the None of the Above tunnels.

  • Never Fade is underwater within a cloud.
  • Silver streaks in the water neutralize powers, both canon and Role based.
  • Lonely sharks kidnap Star Children and take them to caves on the underside of Never Fade.
  • Star Children who find those caves are trapped too.
  • Escape by hugs, cuddles, and being friends.
  • By the second month, most lonely sharks are healed and found in the tunnels.
  • Lonely sharks guide Star Children to the Shattered Spoon Shrine to donate Lore to help others.
  • Either when captive or once donating Lore, lonely sharks will give Star Children an item from home.

Content Warnings: Forced Relocation, Potential Secret Revelation, Potential Coerced Physical Intimacy

With the wide range of Star Children from many different worlds, sharing similarities, it's no surprise when moments of deja vu happen. That sense of the familiar with the new, the sense of something that happened before without quite being able to place it… or perhaps it being impossible. Regardless, when that connective moment happens, the Star Children involved are transported to a windmill home from the Cloud Colonies. They land together on a couch before a large television with all the makings of a movie night. There could be wine and cheese. There could be soda and popcorn. There could be tea or other hot beverages. There's a cozy blanket (only one). The movie has already been selected, and it starts playing.

Headliner

The movie is roughly based off one of the Star Children's lives, specifically for the Star Child that experience deja vu and triggered this experience. Regardless of the moment of deja vu, the plot of the movie is based off of some real or potential relationship—romantic or queer platonic—in their life. That Star Child can recognize some similarities immediately. If they had any doubts, they get a text message on their relic as the movie starts:

You need to get closer with your companion(s). You can either talk about what happened (or didn't) or not talk wink wink about it with them. The choice is yours (and theirs)! Have fun!

It's possible to ignore the message, at least for a while. The longer the movie plays, the more apparent it becomes that it's based off that Star Child. The starring character's clothes will change to resemble theirs. The cadence of their voice will shift to imitate theirs. Their facial features will shift. These changes will become more and more heavy handed as the movie goes on until even the most clueless companion will have real trouble not picking up on it. It may get harder and harder to distract them from talking about it! There's no pause button, and the only way to mute the movie is to *ahem* distract themselves from it until it becomes an indistinct background murmur.

Remake

If any Star Children thought this experience might have been a Valentine's Day prank, they'll be poorly mistaken come mid-March when it continues with a twist. The movie less closely resembles any one Star Child's life (whew?)… because it blends the lives of all those present together into a new story. One character is based off each Star Child, and it fits the other Star Child into the role of someone who was or could have been emotionally and/or physically intimate with them. If they had any doubts, each Star child gets a text message on their relic as the movie starts:

You need to get closer with your companion(s). You can either talk about what happened (or didn't) or not talk wink wink about it with them. The choice is yours (and theirs)! Have fun!

Not only does each Star Child have to decide what approach they want to take, but the other Star Child may pick up on what they're putting down! One Star Child may want to talk it out, but the other one desperately doesn't. Oh noes, how shall it be resolved? Well, the longer it takes, the more clearly the film demonstrates one way they could resolve it—a fictionalized ending, happy or sad or bittersweet or anything else, between the characters as they more closely resemble those watching them on the sofa. No one's free until they have a heart to heart or a something to something else. Any physical intimacy can do.

  • Experience a moment of deja vu and get transported to a cozy living room in a Cloud Colony windmill.
  • For the first month, the 'host' Star Child gets a text letting them know to get intimate—emotionally or physically.
  • For the second month, all Star Children get that text.
  • For the first month, the movie is based on the 'host' Star Child's experiences, what did or could have happened. As the movie progresses, it becomes more and more obvious that's the case.
  • For the second month, the movie is a story blending Star Children's experiences together. That too will become more obvious over time.
  • Some form of intimacy is the only way out!

Fjord Stone | Critical Role | Familiar

[personal profile] mayberaven 2024-02-13 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
Arrival

[Fjord isn't sure about this. Just the strange way he was called was enough for suspicion, enough to have wariness start to bleed in now that he'd... landed. Uncertain at how accepting he'd been about the situation, afraid for his companions left behind. That there was some... version of him left behind did little to soothe him. If he himself couldn't do anything to protect Yasha or Jester, what hope would some strange copy of him have? And if somehow someone realized the switch, who knew what they would do.

He'd missed the appearance of canine ears atop his head, black, with white-rimmed edges. He'd also entirely missed the tail, fluffy and mostly black speckled through with white, flicking anxiously as he studied his surroundings. The same anxiety mirrored in the slight lowering of ears, and the uncertain rub of a hand against his other wrist where he could still feel the lingering echo of the bite of iron.

Right. On his own, in a strange new place. Unarmed, unarmored, and without any of his gear to boot. The half-orc shook his head, and huffed a slow steadying sort of breath. No use in panicking over the situation. Not the worst he'd ever found himself in by a longshot. He'd be fine.

Even if there was a subtle, slow-blooming uncertainty, for the first time ever, at the idea of facing the strange situation alone. That was a foreign feeling that he'll be unpacking the concept of never, thanks!]

Friendnapped A

[The strange island, in it's bubble of not-quite-water, was a bit of a conundrum for Fjord. On one hand, the ease with which he could breathe made him uneasy in how it reminded him of the unpleasant dreams he'd been having? On the other, there was nowhere that he felt more comfortable than the water, so he was more willing to push through the uncertainty to explore the new place.

He might also be feeling a bit more confident thanks to the discovery that he still had his abilities. Uncertain how the locals felt about his kind, he'd used disguise self to take on the more unassuming appearance of a half-elf with sandy hair and grey eyes. And well, if he accidentally ended up somewhere he shouldn't be, probably better if he wasn't quite so easily identifiable!

Given the already abnormal appearance of the water, Fjord didn't think anything of the wisps of silver streaking through the purple. Mostly avoided them through sheer chance as he alternated between walking and swimming. At least until that same luck failed him, brows furrowing as he felt the pins-and-needles of his illusion suddenly melting away.]

Know it hasn't been an hour... [Mumbled in a confused drawl, frown only deepening as he tried to cast the spell again, only for nothing to happen.]

Friendnapped B

[This kidnapping wasn't especially traumatic. Hell, it was downright gentle even. Which was likely aided by the fact that Fjord was entirely without powers or weapons when he was dragged off by an enterprising shark. Granted the moment he was able to move again, the half-orc's first instinct was to punch the shark.

And then he immediately felt bad for it when the creature just gave him the most woebegone face he'd never have expected to see on a shark. What the hell?

And when it hustled off out of it's little cave, he'd tried to escape the same way, only to find with some unease that he couldn't breach the silvery barrier at the entrance. Not that he had long to worry about it- the shark was returning quickly with all the enthusiasm of an eager puppy, which just had the half-orc's wolf ears flattening back in response as he slipped back warily. Only for them to prick a bit in surprise at the sight of familiar leather armor in the shark's grip.]

Where the hell'd you find this? [Wary or no, he will be taking that back thanks! Brows lifting as he found the shark enthusiastically trying to nuzzle up to his side, not really dispelling the 'eager puppy' comparison with the way it's tail was whipping about as it did.]

Oh no you don't, you're gonna be sidlin' over there- [As he said this, he slid a hand delicately between the shark and himself to nudge it a few feet sideways in the water.] You kidnapped me, this don't mean we're square-

Remake

[This was not where Fjord expected to be. Sure it was comfy on the couch, with an admittedly cozy blanket. And the snacks, both familiar and unfamiliar on the low-slung table nearby meant he could probably just relax there without interruption for a good long while if he was of a mind to.

However he wasn't quite ready to do that, which meant it was less than a minute of processing that he'd suddenly been teleported almost at the same time as the strange sensation of deja vu had washed over him, before he was immediately trying to get up to go. Only to fail utterly. Unable to help but swear softly under his breath, Fjord hadn't yet realized he wasn't alone. At least not until his own device wasn't the only one to notify of a text at the same time as the film starts, earning a jump from him.]

Shit- sorry I... didn't see you there- [Already trying to smooth things over before he glanced down at the text he'd been sent, suddenly really glad that he had a good poker face. Aside from the faint tinge of darker green starting at his collar. Nope, this was fine. Not weird or awkward at all.]

This ah... this sort of thing common here?

Shoko Ierie || Jujutsu Kaisen || Legend

[personal profile] notlikethetrash 2024-02-13 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
Arrival/Friendnapped

[When Shoko decided to follow the strange Fox, she wasn't expecting to be dropped into a new world like this. She landed in the strange water surrounding Never Fade. Her first instinct is to hold her breath and try to swim in a random direction. She needed to get out of the water before she drowned.

That seemed to be impossible though. No matter where she swam or how hard she kicked her feet she couldn't find the surface of the water. With burning lungs she had no choice but to take a breath. That's when she realized that she could breathe. It was odd, but she tried to take it in stride.

Well, that was until she saw a shark swimming towards her. She did her best to try and swim away, but she couldn't get away. She felt teeth on her leg that were surprisingly gentle before her whole body went limp. She was then gently pulled away into a strange cave. She looked around, trying to find a way out. Seeing the opening, she tried to leave, but couldn't.

She felt a nudge on her elbow and looked at the shark. It had brought her a pack of cigarettes. How it got them she didn't know. They were rather useless under water, but she couldn't help but smile a little bit at the gesture. That's when she noticed the cracks. Frowning a bit, she tried to focus her cursed energy so that she could try to heal the shark, but couldn't.
]

That's strange. Something's cut off my cursed energy. I can't heal you.

[She was talking to the shark now like it was a friend or classmate.]

Headliner

[It was going to take her a while to get used to this place. She was slowly getting the hang of things, but she couldn't hide the wings and halo that she had developed. She could hide one or the other but not both at the same time. So for the most part she kept the dark grey feathered wings hidden. The bent and slightly crooked halo she had was kind of amusing. It wasn't a bright gold like some people thought Christian Angels had. It was more of a tarnished bronze. Maybe her bad habits influnced it? She wasn't sure.

Wings and halo aside, she didn't like being suddenly pulled to a different place. At least there was a couch. She sighed and flopped onto it. She noticed the other snacks as well.
]

Looks like it's movie night.

[She smiled at her companion, before pulling the unlit cigarette out of her lips and grabbing a bowl of popcorn to sit between them.]

Wonder what's going to play.

[She sat back as the movie began to play and she saw a rather familiar group of students. One of them sported a bob in the same color as her own hair and was smoking. The other students looked a lot like her classmates. Her eyes went wide. What in the world was going on here?]

Assuming a sharknapped character is more than happy to be affectionate and friendly with the shark, what kind of time scale are we looking at for them to be able to leave again?

Annnnd could the item in question be a magical pet, or is that probably a bit too much? (In which case I'll keep saving spoons, ROFL)

EDIT: Whoops! Also, if someone has been sharknapped, can they still communicate with friends via relic?

Arrival

Wait, one last question. [ Jen asks the fox. ] Is this, you know, a Swiftie thing? [ With that, she promptly falls to the ground as a shooting star, landing with a thud and a bounce in a forest in Folkmore, looking quite a bit greener and quite a bit taller. ] Oww...

[ She-Hulk rubs her head before picking herself up off the ground to stand at her usual 6'7", knocking over a tree in the process. It joins its brethren she disturbed when she fell, making a ring of trees sadly laying on the ground around her. She sees a town in the distance, a bit away from the forest she landed in. ]

Okay, multiversal to-do list... [ She says to herself. And to her captive audience reading this. (Hi, guys.)

Man oh man, Jen really regrets not paying more attention to Bruce when he was talking about Sakaarian Fight Club. She was pretty sure he had a couple good tidbits on "So You Landed On Another Planet". ]
One: Figure out where Folkmore is. [ It couldn't be that far - she basically walked here! Which probably means this is more Wong than Bruce? ] Two: Call Bruce with coordinates? [ A beat. No, this definitely seems more magic portals than spacecraft. ] Call Wong with coordinates. [ And then he can do his fancy ring portal thing and get her home in time for her 10:30am Wednesday client. No harm, no foul.

She feels around her fairly tight pantsuit pockets for her phone. And then she does it a few more times for good measure. ]
Shit. [ Okay, genuinely frustrating that Taylor Swift stole her phone. Megan Thee Stallion would never. How was she supposed to wait for Josh to text her back now?

No, wait, far more importantly, how was she supposed to contact her ride out of here? She-Hulk groans, loud enough that a few nearby trees get their leaves shaken by the sound. ]
Ugh, fine. [ And with that, the better Hulk sets off in the direction of civilization. ]

Headliner

[ Jen tried watching the movie. She did, honest. But seeing a string of her failed relationships on screen masquerading as a romcom? No thanks. She's good. She's been there, she's done all that.

Naturally there's no pause button on the remote. Of fucking course. ]
Damn you, Taylor Swift... [ So, instead, she's going to take that blanket that's been offered, and drape it over the television. Admittedly, Jen, at a whopping 5'4", struggles with the task a lot more than She-Hulk would, and the blanket keeps falling and knocking into things as she tries to put it over the TV.

When she notices her companion, however, she switches tactics. ]
Hi. [ She says sweetly, laughing sheepishly. ] You mind giving me a hand? [ Great, fantastic, she probably looks completely insane between the baggy clothes and the very normal thing she's doing with the blanket. If anyone asks, she's trying to stop the girl from the Ring from killing her.

Her Relic vibrates with a new message. She ignores it. ]

Boba Fett | Star Wars: Legends | Myth

[personal profile] myownprice 2024-02-13 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
i. arrival

[ Out of all the outcomes young Boba Fett could have imagined of his first ever bounty hunting contract, this certainly was not one of them.

To be fair, it’s parsecs better than any of the worst—better than being shot, fed to Jabba’s pit beasts, or worse still, becoming yet another of his target’s slaves. Even so, Boba isn’t so sure that this is what he should have chosen. In fact, he’s not so sure it had been his choice at all.

The thought prickles inside him as he picks himself up out of the small crater his “landing” had left in a soft green hill of this new world. After the relentless heat and bone-dry dust of Tatooine, the lushness of his current surroundings is almost dizzying. Where is this place? The Fox had called it Folkmore, but is that a planet? A solar system? And what had the Fox meant when she said he was here to fulfill his potential? What is even meant to do?

Every moment since his father’s death has felt like a race against time. Find Tyrannus. Find Jabba. Don’t die. Don’t let them catch you. Fleeing and fighting, fleeing and fighting, on an unrelenting loop. Now, in this strange new place with nothing to flee from (yet) and nothing to fight (yet), Boba finds that he has no idea what to do next….

So he picks a direction. And he starts walking. Maybe he doesn’t know what to do—but he knows he cannot stop.

He cuts a strange figure against the verdant hills behind him: a small figure in a blue cadets’ uniform, face hidden behind the T-shaped visor of a silver-and-blue Mandalorian battle helmet. And there is more strangeness still for any who come close enough to notice: one, a burnt, chemical smell lingering about him that an experienced nose might place as spent explosives. And two, his fingers, though he hasn’t noticed yet, tipped with blackened claws—a Myth in the making. ]

ii. sharknapped
[ It really is unfortunate that the shark spirit had chosen Boba as its new best friend—unfortunate for the shark, that is.

Boba keeps a vigil at the mouth of the cave where he’s imprisoned, watching the creature as it swims back and forth in distressed circles just outside. Bad enough that its “new best friend” had immediately set about trying to claw it to ribbons the second he’d been able to move again; now, its charge is refusing to eat. There’s a thick slice of what looks like dense, syrup-y cake lying untouched just past the silver barrier where the shark had managed to chuck it while avoiding another onslaught of small black claws. The shark hadn’t picked wrongly; uj cake is one of Boba’s favorite foods—which unfortunately means that the boy is all the more suspicious. How had the creature known? And where could it possibly have found a slice on this strange planet of all places?

The shark, meanwhile, worries itself in circles, the newly-scratched gashes in its flanks flashing as it turns about. To any approaching Legends, it may be difficult to tell whose distress had brought them here: the shark’s or the boy’s. ]

[ It's the familiar heartbeat that draws Matt in. So far there hasn't been anything really familiar about the place but that sound... he knows. He's also aware there are some electronics around. The buzz sounds like televisions and if he had to guess based on background music and laugh track he would say romantic comedies are playing but it's all guess work.

The heartbeat is not a guess. He stands for a moment with his head cocked slightly and an amused smile on his face as he listens to her struggle. ]

I can help if you tell me what you're doing. [ He makes his way over and takes a hold of the blanket. ] And why you're doing it. I don't really watch TV.

[ Understatement of the century but he loves a good joke about his blindness. ]

[ Oddly, Steve walks in through the barrier calmly, and he has his hands on his hips, seemingly more annoyed by the situation than anything else. Having managed to dodge the silver lightning, this time, he's a little taller than Fjord and is sporting a beard and a reprimanding expression. He is definitely talking to the shark when he says: ]

You again?

Sorry.

[ That, he directs towards Fjord, even as he walks towards the shark and unfolds his arms to scratch under its chin like it's just a particularly clingy cat, and not a kidnapping shark. ]

I'm Steve. If you don't want to hug the shark, I will, but neither of us are getting out of here until he decides that he's gotten enough attention out of one of us.

[Boba won’t be alone forever though. Another shark comes into the cave dragging another limp form. This one fully clad in Mandalorian armor, with the exception of a helmet. You would think the armor would have protected her but it bit her on one of her legs where there was no beskar plating.]

What… is happening?

[This said to no one or anything that is willing to answer. The red head looking around as she is able to start moving again. The reason for not having a helmet is perhaps obvious due to a pair of curved horns mounted below her ears and framing her scaly face. The look resembling a mythosaur. Her gaze soon focuses on the other person that’s here.]

I wouldn't watch TV if I could hear all my neighbors' drama, either. [ She jokes back, leaning slightly on the screen...

Which promptly starts to tip over with her along with it. Jen hulks out to catch it, but she's already off-balance enough that she falls over on top of it, inadvertently pulling the blanket they're both holding along with her. [ Before he can respond things start going wrong. He hears Jen hulk out and his radar sense goes wild as the TV tips, the blanket starts to pull on him, and Jen herself is heading for the ground.

He releases the blanket, twists in mid-fall, and catches himself on his hands landing like he's about to do a push up. His glasses are skewed on his face and a few hairs have been disheveled but otherwise he's fine.

It doesn't sound like the TV is though. ]

Nanami smiles ever so slightly at Shoko, his eyes an unnatural color to reflect the happiness in seeing her again. There's far worse things possible than spending time watching a movie with an old friend. The texture of popcorn isn't his favorite to linger on his fingers, but there are napkins. It's a small cost for spending some time together.

He's eating a piece of popcorn when the movie starts to play. Nanami chokes on it, coughs, and swallows. The fact Gojo and Geto are from their student years only make it that much easier to recognize them. Nanami knew them all back then, unless this is supposedly from their first year.

"A documentary?"

Nanami looks over at Shoko, grimacing mildly.

"I wouldn't put it past Thirteen."

[Caduceus had ventured up to investigate - and also to check on his goat, just in case - but the whole place had been somewhat disturbing thus far. He was still not big on being in deep waters, so even with the ability to breathe freely, wandering (floating?) around the island has him a bit on edge. He is trying to keep a positive attitude about it, though. Nothing terrible has happened so far.

He'd been about to give the unfamiliar half-elven man a polite greeting as they passed each other on the path, when one of those strange silver streaks passes over them, and Caduceus finds himself face to face with someone very familiar. His eyes widen, first in surprise, then with a warm, pleased look.]

Fjord! When did you get here?

Clarification regarding “ In the end, the only way to escape are hugs, cuddles, and other measures of friendship.”

1. Does this mean characters make friends and cuddle with other characters too? Or is it only with the shark?
2. Would the sharks inform them that making friends/being cuddly is the means to repair the cracks?

A. Get Sharked, Nerd

You are soooooo cute! [Any other poor person being held hostage by the shark will have to endure Luz. Luz excitedly rubbing the shark's belly as she coos at it.

The enclosed space of the cave is just made smaller by the fourteen year old bouncing around, doting on the shark.
] Awww, look at you! You're such a widdle guy!!! A baby!

[The shark definitely looks happy as Luz continues rubbing its belly. She probably should be more concerned about losing time since she was last here and you know, being kidnapped, yet...] I don't care if you stole me, you're cute enough to get away with it! You better not be nefarious, mister!

B. Spread The Shark Love

Okay, okay, okay- [Were you innocently wandering these tunnels? Were you minding your business?

Not anymore.
]

I need you, I need you to meet Sharkratio! [A very excited fourteen year old is bodily dragging her fellow Star Child towards a waiting very delighted shark. A shark covered in stickers.]

Sharkratio is obviously the coolest shark here, but, don't tell the others, cause they are all super cute too, but- they aren't my new bff.

Please shake his fin, he's a gentleman. [Luz is looking at your blorbo expectantly. What will they do?]

[There is another Star Child being held by the shark! Out cold in a corner of the cave, barely visible with the way he's curled up beneath a quilted blanket, he begins to stir at the sound of a familiar voice.]

Weh
..... Luz, can ya keep it down? I'm trying to...

[...Wait. He sits bold upright, the blanket falling off him. Stares directly at Luz. Blinks. Aaand jumps over to her with a chorus of little "nyeh"s.]

Luz! I foooound you!

Kiiiiiiing! You found me! [Sorry Sharkratio, abandonment issues begin now. Luz immediately scoops King up to spin him around. Someone is being lovingly spun around.] I didn't even see you over there!

Did Sharkratio kidnap you too?

Weee! [Who's being spun? It's King! King is being spun! And he's sticking real close to Luz's ankles once he's set down, too.]

Kidnap? Who's been kidnapped? I came here of my own free will, you know! Because I'm a mature boy who makes his own decisions!!!

[He was kidnapped. The shark got him good. But he did follow the Fox of his own free will, so... Fifty/fifty truths.]
