PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

As this usually goes, I am Dan Heng, a traveler and archivist. As some of you have witnessed recently, I can heal but try not to get hurt too often. I prefer to travel and study the world around us. I'm not one for too much chit-chat, but a conversation from time to time isn't unwelcome.

My favorite of these colors is: I've never really thought about it. I favor green but, all colors have their beauty.

I live in: Gram, you might have noticed a building at the edge of the lake wrapped in fog from time to time. That's the Astral Archive.

I spend a lot of time in: I travel the various regions. There is much to study here. Even if the results don't make sense have the time.

I choose these areas because: It is good to travel.

Regions/locations I avoid: None of them.

I avoid them because: N/a

I think I'm a Familiar because: I would say it is because I have struck out on my own path. It isn't like those who came before; in some ways, pursuing it is selfishness. In another, it is the only one I wish to take for it is one given to me by caring hands. For them and myself, I walk it. I blaze the way before me every day.

Reasons I would form a bond: It is not something to be considered lightly. I require trust and a promise always to communicate. To be bound in such a way is to be a united team. ...I would do it to be able always to reach them and be there to support them. But only with permission and agreement of both.

What I want from a bond: I can't answer that. I don't know. If I committed to it, then it's a show of trust on my part.

I favor these animal forms: Dragon. It is the only one I have. I'm fine with that.

I am interested in: Meeting people and making connections in this world.

The way to win me over is: Show me you respect others and are willing to forge a path that is yours.

My dealbreakers are: Lies, betrayal, I suppose you could say the usual things.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly do these bonds entail?

They usually involve a mental connection of some sort. It isn’t always a strong one. But, being connected that way is part of it. Familiars can choose who they create such a bond with.

Two familiars can’t form a bond to each other. It falls under we stabilize legends and myths.

Interesting. I appreciate the explanation. You have not yet fostered a bond with anyone?

I have not. Everyone I could consider it with has been a familiar. Have you been considering it?

I haven't, no. Though I am quite curious about it. It must be a lovely feeling, to be close enough to another to even consider such a thing as a bond like that.

It must be. It certainly would be useful in making sure someone close to you is safe.

Indeed. Or multiple someones. I do hope that you never have any reason to worry over the safety of your loved ones to begin with, Dan Heng, though I suppose that is too much to hope for. Trailblazing is incredible work, but notoriously dangerous, hmm?

[There is a pause. Yes, it is dangerous work. Very dangerous work.]

It is. Like any work worth doing. We are both in very dangerous jobs and I hope we never have reason to worry so fiercely over everyone we care about. But I think it is part of this kind of work.

At least the both of us now have other forms we can use freely to help.
