PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

I live in: Lapine in Willow

I spend a lot of time in: Willow, Exile, Wintermute, Cruel Summer, Epiphany

I choose these areas because: I don't have to work as hard to get there.

Regions/locations I avoid: None, honestly.

I avoid them because: I don't. I even visit Tides and Never Fade pretty often.

I think I'm a Familiar because: I'm not really sure. Maybe I just don't fit the other Roles well. Maybe Thirteen knew I'd be pissed to be put into the other boxes.

Reasons I would form a bond: I only have one but I got it because I trust them completely. That's the only way I could form another.

What I want from a bond: I just want to be there for someone I care about. That's it. Plus, the connection is nice.

I favor these animal forms: I don't really like people to know my forms but my favorite is a canine species.

I am interested in: Either.

The way to win me over is: How do some people answer these questions? Because I've got no idea how to answer this. Be a little weird. Know what it's like to suffer. Don't judge me too harshly when I'm an ass. I think I'm pretty easy to win over, honestly.

My dealbreakers are: Cult involvement, blind religious faith. Even then I'm willing to swallow that shit if I already like you (looking at you, Maul).

Nah, I don't put anything up for display. I don't even really talk about it, honestly. [ She's just being a putz. ]

Yeah, they're all oil, though I used thickened acrylic to build up the texture of the middle one.

I knew just enough about painting to figure the oil and just too little to not be certain what the texture was there, so that's all the better.

There's a college to put these things up in?

[ That gets a laugh out of her. ] There are galleries, too. It's mostly just a way for me to express myself and get the violence out of my head, though. And sometimes they feel a bit personal to show off.

The last hobby I took up was actually juggling - ah, unless exploring counts, but I don't think it does.

[ Though, like he said, not a ton of hobbies. ]

Juggling? [ There's a grin in her voice. ] I'd never have taken you for a juggler but I'd argue exploring counts. I mean, people used to spend millions to explore the globe and go off on grand adventures. That sounds like a hobby to me. Until it's a job, of course.

Juggling's simple enough and requires coordination, let's you practice.

It's a cool ass job. [ She's done a little bit of it herself but the Deer Country wasn't a world that wanted to be explored, the very earth itself was polluted and corrupted and haunted. Though, by the time she'd left, it was changing. ]

Gotta admit, never would've considered juggling for something like that. It's always just made me think of the circus.

I'm still not sure about these Role things, but you definitely don't belong in a box.

Mom. [ But there's a smile in Sharon's voice, the whine more for show. It's these little things she's missed. The normal things. ]

I'm not really sure about them, either. I sometimes think it's just for show, or maybe to make us question our morals, but then... I don't know, you show up as a Legend and I can't help but think that's you.

You really think so? From what I hear about it, Legend sounds a little... grandiose. Are they always like angels?

( She'd always enjoyed angel imagery, but her experience in Silent Hill made her question much about her own faith. Now that she knows what can be hiding behind things like that. What horrific acts could be done to someone in the name of faith. Not that the Legends here seem explicitly tied to religion, but... the angel-like associations ripple her own feathers a little, so to speak. )

Not always like angels but almost. Myths have it just as bad. Horns, tails, claws, fangs. The whole thing makes me uncomfortable. [ Beyond the religious connotations, even, there's something about othering people like this that puts her on edge. It has since she's arrived. ]

Luckily, no one seems to take it all that seriously. We didn't choose this, it was forced onto us. [ a beat and then: ]—even if the holy vibe suits you, mom. [ Mother is God and all. ]

Just don't let it get to your head. [ The wink is damn near audible. ]

( Her frown grows as Sharon lists the traits common of Myths. That's.... That could be very dangerous. She's uneasy by all of this, this categorisation. And not-so-deep-down, she's glad that Sharon wasn't placed into the "Myth" division. Her daughter's been demonised enough. )

I'm glad it's common knowledge that this wasn't a choice. I hope people remember that if... if anything goes wrong.

My head definitely doesn't need any more added to it. I got a glimpse of what I look like when in "Legend Mode", and there's a lot going on up there.

( A bunch of feathers, it seemed like. Maybe a halo made out of them? Admittedly, she hasn't tried to manifest it again. )

[ Sharon wonders every day if Thirteen didn't make some mistake or put her in the Role of a Familiar as a cruel jape. She'll never be good enough to be Good and she's accepted that. She accepted that a long, long time ago. ]

You're gonna have to show it to me sometime. Legend Mode makes you sound like an even bigger badass. [ Badass. There is no other word to describe Rose Da Silva. ]

Fun? I guess it can be. I've only managed a couple of forms and none of them were by choice. The first time I turned it was because I was uncomfortable in the dress I was wearing. I'd wanted to... I dunno, hide, I guess. [ Each shift has been a direct reaction to the emotions she's dealing with at the time. ] Coyote is my favorite. Everything gets so... simple. It's nice.
