Pandora's Fox II

PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselvesโ€”as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

This is game canon!

Forms for your characters!

I'm Rose Marigold! It's swell to make your acquaintance, Miss Maisel! [ Rose knows her manners, tyvm! They're very important for social interactions, don't you know! ] I look forward to seeing all this place has to offer but I'm most excited for the city bits!

That's a flowery name. My mother's name is Rose. I'm technically Mrs. Maisel, but Midge is fine. [ Important to make the distinction since Mrs. Maisel is her stage name. #branding. ] The city bits aren't exactly like New York considering that New York doesn't have any animals that dress and walk and talk like humans.

Midge! Oh, I love that! [ It gives her sweet housewife vibes, though a Midge in her head is a little rounder with fat cheeks and the kind of eyes that crinkle when she smiles. ]

That just further sells it to me. I do love a little whimsy and I haven't had a chance to meet any of the cute little Spirits! I've heard some pretty great things, though!

Thanks. [ Former housewife, not as sweet, cheeks are appropriately plump but not fat. ]

Overall, this place isnโ€™t bad. Weโ€™re not usually stuck in survivalist hell.

That's good to know! Not that this is really all that much of a survivalist hell. It's pretty cushy as far as apocalyptic scenarios go. Sure, we have to dig cubes out of a mysterious sweet goo to get the fun supplies but we're properly fed, there's fresh water, and we're not being hunted for our brains by the undead!

Still can't wait for it to be over, though. A girl needs a proper bed. And my hair is so frizzy.
doesntsing: (uh huh...)

[personal profile] doesntsing 2024-10-25 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
So uhโ€ฆ youโ€™re familiar with apocalyptic scenarios?

[ Sounds like yes. ]

So is mine. Iโ€™m just keeping a scarf wrapped around my head at all times now.

Oh, only in fiction, but people are rather big on prepping where I'm from! [ And that's ignoring the fact that she also fights against the forces of darkness when night falls! ]

A scarf sounds like a classy way to disguise the issue. I've just resigned myself to looking like a mess until this is over!
doesntsing: (skeptical)

[personal profile] doesntsing 2024-10-28 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Prepping? [ Being preppy? What does that have to do with the apocalypse? She's confused. ]

I just used a scrap of fabric from the crafters. I can show you how to wrap it if you'd like.

[ Her outfit is an abomination though. Nobody looks good dressed as a peasant, despite what other people have told her. ]

Oh, you haven't heard of prepping? I'm pretty sure it stands for preparation but in this sense, it usually means they're preparing for a major disaster, or a civil war if they're a bit [ She whistles ] cuckoo. They can take it to an extreme. I'm talking bunkers full of various dried goods, canned foods, and enough water sterilization pellets to clear Cauldron Lake of any gross icky bacteria. [ Not the Dark Presence, though! ]

I would love that! I think I'd look mighty cute with a head scarf. Very 60s!

Oh, I see. Yeah, that sounds pretty cuckoo. Although some people have the same worries about what might happen if the Soviets nuke us.

Considering I'm from 1960, then I guess you've hit the nail on the head.

I learned about that in high school. There were more close calls than they told the public about. [ She says, chipperly! ]

Oh! Oh, wow! Some of the seniors at the nursing home have some wild stories about the 60s and 70s. I'm from 2023 so that seems so long ago to me!

How do you know that?

More people here are from your time than mine. All you futuristic people make me feel ancient sometimes.

The government released that information years ago!

I don't think that should make you feel ancient. Really, it's super duper exciting!
doesntsing: (wtf)

[personal profile] doesntsing 2024-11-09 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Uh, not in 1960. [ She's still living through that back home. ]

I'm glad one of us thinks so.

'course not, silly, you'd have panicked!

I think if you can bend down without your back popping strangely, you're not allowed to feel ancient. Plus, you're only 27! Even if you're from the 60s, you're still a young whippersnapper!
doesntsing: (looking)

[personal profile] doesntsing 2024-11-10 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah, everyone would have panicked. But okay, sure, this is fine. ]

Thankfully I don't feel physically old, just a bit behind the times when it comes to new technology.

Oh, well, lucky for you, that's a real easy fix! If you're ever having a hard time, just let me know and I'll come teach you. I'm pretty good with tech if I do say so myself!
