PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

I am a samurai's daughter from Edo, Japan. What else to write? I never really had a job or anything. Since coming here, I've been practicing some martial arts, reading a lot, and trying my hand at photography! Oh, yeah, a lot of the technology here was totally new to me. It seems that the invention of these things is still far in the future where I'm from.

My favorite of these colors is: Red

I live in: Satori Hills, usually.

I spend a lot of time in: Epiphany, Willow, Agrona Academy, Never Fade.

I choose these areas because: They are where I live and study, and Willow and Never Fade are just nice.

Regions/locations I avoid: Exile and most of Cruel Summer

I avoid them because: I'm not trying to get myself killed!

I think I'm a Familiar because: That's a really good question. I was actually a Legend until not too long ago. I wonder if something made Thirteen change her mind?

Reasons I would form a bond: I guess if I really trusted the other person, and if a situation should arise where it was necessary.

What I want from a bond: I haven't really given this much thought.

I favor these animal forms: So far I only have the mongoose. It's been fun, though!

The way to win me over is: Just be kind, I suppose.

My dealbreakers are: Cruelty. If you like causing others pain just because you get off on it.

Where in Japan is Edo?

Uhm, I believe it's going to be called Tokyo in the future, if you've heard of that. Weird thing to say, but that's what I heard.

Oh! Yeah, I've heard of Tokyo. Wonder why it changed.

Well, I did some research on that while I was here. Apparently, they changed the name after Japan opened itself to the West -- rather under pressure from the US navy, or so I gather. What followed was a very rapid modernization, or adaptation to standards of technology and society of the West.

But that's not going to happen until more than half a century after the current time where I'm from. I wonder if I'll live long enough to see it happen.

Does Tokyo sound like a more modernized name compared to Edo? Or a modern meaning...?

Well, Edo means "bay-entrance" and Tokyo means "eastern capital". Which, I mean, technically it already is the capital in my time, because while the Emperor resides in Kyoto, the Shogun has the real political power.

Out of curiosity, how does being a Familiar compare to being a Legend?

I certainly didn't know it was possible until it happend to me. Though I think it wasn't the only one -- it was part of all the happenings caused by the fairies a few months back.

Well, as a Legend, I had wings. Now I can turn into an animal. And, uh, I think... maybe I've calmed down a bit? Though I've always been pretty emotional, so it's hard to tell.

Any particular animal or can you shape change into any animal? If you can turn into an animal with wings, this sounds like a strict upgrade.

So far, I only have the mongoose. That doesn't have wings, it's a land mammal. But who knows? There are people who have more than one animal form, and they don't necessarily get them all at the same time!

Not as far as I know. I first did it involuntarily, and it took a bit of practice to figure out how to turn back!

Interesting! Of everything Folkmore, I feel the inthreecacies and even the purpose of the Roles just eludes me.

No, no, I have heard of it. Uhm... yeah, the Roles sure are mysterious. Do they even do anything? Does Thirteen plan to pit us against each other eventually or something? I hope that's not the case.

I wouldn't put it past a malevolent force... But it's such a roundabout way to do it. Also why would one Role be specifically-tailored to bonding with the other two? Why aren't we being encouraged to mingle within our role? Most of my friends aren't Myths at all. All the more reason to hope it's not the case, I suppose.

You know, those are all very good questions I don't have the answer to. But, uhm, I think I remember something about Familiars having more of a supporting role, while Legends and Myths tend to be leaders? Something like that.

Though, then again, I've been both a Legend and a Familiar so far. Maybe I'll be a Myth next!

Maybe. I'm not one to lead though. I would 300% prefer to support others opposed to lead them but I suppose Roles aren't tailored to our preferences.
