PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

An alien invasion was always pretty low on my apocalypse scenario. I don't even know why. Zombies just felt more possible. [ And his aliens made zombies so... Casey dealt with a crazy double-whammy of apocalyptic horror. ]

[Mmmmmmmmmmm you know what, he's just. Gonna let that fly on by. Because while "good" isn't the right word for it, for him personally, on the whole she's not wrong. So sure, it's good. In at least one timeline, the good guys won.]

Do you know if aliens exist in your, uh, universe?

We've never had official confirmations of them. Space is big and all, I figure there are aliens somewhere out there but if they're on Earth, we sure as hell don't know about it

That makes sense. I've heard there's lots of other aliens, and some are friendly. I hope if your world gets aliens, they're some of the nice ones.

And if you hear someone say "Krang", run.

Krang? What do they look like?

They're like these nasty pink glob monsters with tentacles, and they fight using huge suits of armor.

I try not to be judgemental but holy shit those things are fucking ugly. Why'd they attack Earth anyway? What the fuck do they want? [ Other than be gross and pink and mind-controlling moms! ]

[Just an average day of Casey's life, nightmare girl. Shake hands over the madness.]

They first came to Earth thousands of years ago, so we only have an old legend about it. They wanted to enslave everyone. They go from world to world, conquering each before moving on. They were trapped in a prison dimension until recently by a group of Earth warriors, so what they mostly wanted when they were let out was revenge. But also to finish what they started.

[ What is up with space-conquering aliens? Sharon's not a fan. ]

How'd they escape the prison dimension? [ ...the Order had found a way out of her Otherworld, too. Fucking sneaky assholes. ]

[Welcome to the club.]

It was the Foot Clan- a group of evil ninjas that thought the Krang were like gods. They stole the key and opened the doorway.

[fogsong]

Bet they fucking regretted that. [ Or she hopes. ]

The first thing that the Krang did was turn all of them into zombies. They don't even have minds to regret anymore.

[So... kind of? Karma got them, at least.]

It's what they- [-deserve, he almost says, but catches himself. Two of them were his mom's senseis, and she'd been so upset to hear of their fate. It's not something he should be celebrating, for her sake.] ...they should've seen it coming.

They got what they deserved. [ Don't worry, Casey, Sharon's willing to say it! ] If only they'd been the only ones to suffer the consequences.

...Yeah. [Easier to agree than to say it. Thanks, Sharon.] They wanted to rule the world, but the world they rule now isn't what they thought it would be.

[fogsong]

It never is. People that want to rule never realize that until it's too late.

[apuckalypse]

Yeah... I'd really like to ask what they were imagining, though. I wish we'd had the chance to... I dunno, talk first. Maybe I could have told them how the world would end up, that they were all gonna die for a dream that'd never come true. Maybe we could've saved people who didn't know what they were doing.

[fogsong]

How could you have told them? Would they have even cared enough to listen?

[apuckalypse]

Well... they probably wouldn't have believed it, that part's true. [If he remembers it right, they hadn't been keen to listen about Shredder being an evil world-conquering demon, either.] But I was sent into the past to stop the Krang from being set free. I almost had the chance to try.

[Things had escalated far too quickly, though. The window for talking had passed.]

Wait, you were sent into the past? Did-Did it fucking work, did you stop the Krang from being freed? [ That's a massive undertaking for someone so young, too. ]

[apuckalypse]

Kind of? I mean, I didn't. But I found my family there, and they're way stronger than I am. The Krang got out, but we were able to stop them before the invasion got past the point of no return. Their leader was locked up again, and their ship was destroyed.

[It was a lot! A lot happened in one night!]

The other two aren't near as dangerous, so Earth should be safe in that timeline now.

So... What happens to your timeline? Does it change and you get to go back to something better? I know time travel can be weird but the rules seem to vary. [ She hopes he can. ]

Donnie called it a bifurcated time branch. We didn't change the future, just created a new timeline where the invasion was stopped. But even if we did change things, I couldn't go back. No one has mystic powers strong enough.

[Nevermind that there's nothing to go back for...]

Do you like being in the past? I mean, I imagine that's rough.

[It's okay, he already knows it's a bummer.]

I wasn't there long enough to be sure. We fought off the invasion, and then I woke up here. But everyone's told me it's a lot like this, and I do like it in this world. It's better in pretty much every way that I can think of.
