Somehow, there is kirin on you.

Most likely, it is the fur of the kirin that was caught in the environment of wherever you’ve been; there is a stray hair on you because one was on the seat you sat on upon the train or because it blew onto the brim of your hat in the wind.

Or it may be because you met the kirin—a playful ungulate moose-sized spirit who prefers not to speak—and engaged with him and gave him a pat, or a scratch behind an ear. Maybe the kirin nosed or licked your hand because you made him laugh (it’s an adorable ‘keh keh keh’ sound).

Unfortunately for both you and the kirin (who had not meant to trouble your day like this, truly), this exposure to his dander has only one reaction, and it happens to 100% of Star Children: you are compelled to tell the entire truth. About what is less specific; you are compelled simply to announce things about yourself—your life, experiences, thoughts, opinions, feelings. No matter if it’s something silly and inconsequential, deep or secretive, life-altering or commonplace. Some may choose to do this by employing Foxi and their relic; others by finding people to exchange truth with to face to face.

When you have met the kirin’s subconscious desire for four hours, you will be free from the truth telling and the recipient of 24 hours of good luck. The good luck will be sometime in the next year rather than in the next day, and you may have no idea where it came from, but you’ll know a lucky day when you have it!

Just because you can't see someone watching you doesn't mean they're not. That's all. I don't have a concrete theory.

So that's more a paranoia than a theory, yeah?

Or maybe it's a little bit of a hopeful thought, depending on how the malice of those watching you would compare to the terror inherent in the Fox's concept.

I think it's a healthy paranoia.

Kind of depends, I guess, on what you mean by malice. People watch me constantly, I'm used to it.

No idea, there's too many things to consider there, like what exactly the Fox's quirk is, and what she'd do with it, compared to the people watching me and, I guess the level of malice since you mentioned it.

It seems sort of silly to me to imagine the Fox is limited to one ability does't it?

I mean, in terms of the power on display to make this realm or take us here.

Sometimes powers with simple names have more functions than it appears like.

I don't know enough about this place to know if someone created it. It looks like any other kind of landscape.

Fried chicken is my favourite, but I'll eat anything. Liver skewers are particularly good, chicken stir fry, really rich ramen broth. As long as it's chicken flavoured, I'm pretty happy.

interesting!! do you think this has anything to do with your quirk? I remember my notes on Mirko detailed how she reported being strictly vegetarian in her interviews and there are others in our class who have very specific dietary needs due to their quirks as well it’s incredibly common enough so that I’ve always wondered why there wasn’t more widespread education about quirk needs

Of course it is, as a raptor I want to eat creatures smaller than myself on instinct, and meat is definitely the best thing for my diet when it comes to avoiding any intestinal discomfort.

If they educated people about their quirks they couldn't discriminate against people they decided they didn't like.

I don’t know much, but I know enough that they wouldn’t have let you say much without trying to retaliate somehow but

the Commission isn’t here. I can count the people on one hand who even know who the Commission is here. most people don’t even care about our world’s problems.

I don't know that. We got here. It has to be connected to our world somehow. I'm sure they're still watching me. They always are.

I’m not sure they are? but we could figure this out. there’s a lot of tech and quirk-like abilities here - we can find someone who can tell us whether or not you’re still being monitored. settle it once and for all.

I don't know, they have a lot of ways to keep track of me. League did too, but those bugs at least were broken by coming here. Skeptic's not going to be thrilled he has to put them back in.

and if they are tracking you here, we can solve it … especially since you seem more worried about what the Commission will do than what will happen in your undercover assignment?

I haven't figured out anything yet. I don't have to deal with the villains long term, I do however, have to deal with the Commission.

Don't waste your efforts. I knew how it was going to end. The other one, bomb boy told me I lose my quirk. Commission's not going to have use for me at that point.

It's not a problem, I signed up for that.
