Pandora's Fox III

PANDORA'S FOX III

The application Pandora's Fox, last seen buzzing on everyone's relics in October, is back. It's about finding your Familiar bond or perhaps other kinds of bonds. It could be the start to finding your soul mate, a new family member, or other kind of someone special. The point is connection. While it's always available, it's gotten loud again.

As part of its return, the app has been rejiggered with questions old and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

This is game canon!

Forms for your characters!

We can only guess since I doubt she'll ever tell us.

It seems likely that it's some sort of test. Another Trial but this one is day-to-day.

that might be the part that bugs me the most. if we're going to get tested, at least tell us the rules...

a lot of us are used to life being unfair though, i think

Not knowing the rules might be part of the point.

But while we're here we can try and make it fair for each other. Help each other.

that's a good way of thinking about it. that's probably what the bonds are for anyway, right? a familiar and a legend or myth... they're made to support

it'd be nice if myths and legends could connect like that too, i think. they'd sort of balance each other out.

But we don't need a mystical, magical bond to do these things. Humans are social. We'll form bonds just because we want to. I don't see the incentive to these familiar bonds besides what? More power?

If we never wanted these powers or these labels in the first place why would we bother?

Sorry, I went a little closing statement there.

closing statement... oh, is that a lawyer thing?

Yes, it's a lawyer thing.

gotcha ty

i don't totally disagree, but i don't think power is the main reason to get a bond like that. or rather it's a different kind of power. i'm biased because mystic connection isn't so unusual in my family, so maybe he feels more normal to me? i like being bonded that way, even if the effect is just to share feelings. it makes it easier to communicate honestly

whether or not we need it, i still believe it's a nice thing to have. like a bonus, or a perk for having to live here. but everybody's different, i get that

I'm sure you're not alone in that feeling.

For some of us, that's not what we want or are comfortable with. I highly value my independence and I know a bond isn't the same thing as having a caretaker but it feels that way to me.

it's definitely not the same but i get it. it's not for everybody, or even if it was you'd need the right person

good thing that bonds seem to be the only thing in this world that are apparently optional

Don't say that too loud or it might change.

she can hear whatever she wants to hear, and nothing we say changes her mind one way or the other. she's gonna do what she plans to do.
i'm not worried.
or at least i'm just gonna worry the normal amount.
