Pandora's Fox III

PANDORA'S FOX III

The application Pandora's Fox, last seen buzzing on everyone's relics in October, is back. It's about finding your Familiar bond or perhaps other kinds of bonds. It could be the start to finding your soul mate, a new family member, or other kind of someone special. The point is connection. While it's always available, it's gotten loud again.

As part of its return, the app has been rejiggered with questions old and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

This is game canon!

Forms for your characters!

Donatello's okay. The rest can be locked in their own cages.

You must have a long history of being persecuted by scientists if you're 'okay' with the one that kidnapped you here.

[Which his echoes kind of... confirm, but... yikes, kid.]

I was not persecuted. I was merely raised and trained by them. The one here had the best of intentions, and made efforts towards maintaining our privacy and safety. Our specimen cages even had bathrooms and beds, I'm not sure how it could have been a better stay.

Had he succeeded, countless lives would have been immediately impacted for the better. Entire worlds could be saved, improved. Friends who return to other worlds or even death don't need to be lost to us forever. It was nice to have a dream, if even for a little while. If he chooses to try again he will have my full support, and I will encourage everyone to support it as well.

Had he succeeded without taking away my free will, I would have afforded him all the accolades in the world. A better stay would be a voluntary one, don't you think?

Hyperbole. Your mind was always your own.

Semantics. I feel you know full well what I was referring to.

It absolutely is not 'semantics'. Stripping someone of their free will, turning them into puppets, is a far worse crime than the temporary inconvenience of a week of incarceration in reasonably pleasant circumstances.

One is unforgivable.

The other is an annoyance.

That very much depends on one's point of view and what one has already suffered, I imagine. But I won't deny I've seen far worse cells in my time.

You needn't worry. I'm not going to judge you for being agreeable to Donatello. Besides, as I understand it he's very young.

[Like you.]

[Mind control is such a touchy subject that the response has genuine anger behind it.]

Disagree. Not even agree to disagree, I'm not granting that, it implies this stance is even remotely justifiable. Losing your free will is not comparable, it's an overdramatic statement to try to make it sound worse than it was.

You are allowed to rate such a mild infringement on your 'personal freedoms' as more important than the betterment of all lives here. Based on other communications on this network, most adults are as self-centered as you are, so you're in good company.

[It's cool, they can both be angry now. Though Katie's is a tired one, general understanding clashing with her own irritation at being insulted. It's cool. It's fine. Let's be civil.]

How very teenage and narrow minded of you.

By all means, call me self centred. I won't deny it. You are, however, assuming many things about me, because not only am I intimately familiar with the kind of violation you describe multiple times over, I struggle to understand what you believe my stance is at all. My stance, as far as I am aware, is one far greater wrong does not mean a lesser wrong is acceptable. A 'mild infringement'? Perhaps you were lucky, but others were hurt. Others that I care about were hurt. I offered freely what he tried to take from me. He hurt ME.

Perhaps you should speak to all involved instead of assuming your own twisted upbringing somehow justifies your high handed judgment in this regard.

[And this conversation started because of semantics, so she's tired. And has a headache now besides, for semi-related reasons. Perhaps she should just. Bow out and let him think of her as a bitch. Not exactly untrue.]

May you not suffer either such violation or 'mild infringement' again. And thank you for the helpful guide on where to find things of note in Exile.

[That's her polite way of exiting this conversation. Peace out, have a nice life. (Or don't, you're Sephiroth.)]

Adults once again trying to claim some moral high ground simply because you're old while entire worlds suffer and die.

Civilization relies on people like Donatello making the innovations needed to allow people like you to sit there and pretend what we "endured" was in any way comparable to the claims you've made over loss of free will.

May you never experience what losing your free will REALLY is.
