Pandora's Fox III

PANDORA'S FOX III

The application Pandora's Fox, last seen buzzing on everyone's relics in October, is back. It's about finding your Familiar bond or perhaps other kinds of bonds. It could be the start to finding your soul mate, a new family member, or other kind of someone special. The point is connection. While it's always available, it's gotten loud again.

As part of its return, the app has been rejiggered with questions old and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

This is game canon!

Forms for your characters!

It's actually easier to imitate other forms when you don't have to follow certain laws that flesh bodies do. Like articulated limbs are supposed to work or accounting for how the lack of muscle fatigue would change the limits a body can have.

Sounds dumb. At least when I decided humanity had to go, I got my own hands dirty.

What is your body made of? It may not be flesh, but it must function. It must have a way to function, in all that means. [ Mizu does not work with metal to make moving parts, but she remembers the display at Thoth's show the year before. The way a swordfather made of metal imitated the work he would in life. It's how she imagines this person she speaks to, but she knows her knowledge has limits. This information hasn't mattered in her life. ]

That's a large task. However, it still shows you needed to do the work yourself. However powerful you were, you hadn't had it long.

Different metals mostly. Plus some extra components to make it all run smoothly.

It was a large task. I was mad I hadn't completed it at the time but by now I'm having second thoughts on the whole "wipe out all of humanity at once" plan.

I work with metal, but my work doesn't need to move independently on its own afterward. I'm curious how you tick.

What thoughts would those be?
[ Mizu doesn't have particularly strong feelings on the good of humanity as a whole. She'd object to him killing swordfather or her. She's horrified she killed so many people in Edo, through the fire she started. Yet she gets it, that rejection. That feeling. Her revenge, however, is more limited in scope. Doable. ]

I'd be happy to show you some of how it works sometime. Not all my secrets though. [He laughed.] I like to keep some of that to myself. I've got a workshop out near the edges of Cruel Summer if you ever want to come by.

Someone else gave me a different sort of plan here. Take my time since I don't have to worry about dying of old age, destabilize the world, and wipe out almost all of humanity but save a select number of children that are too young to know anything but what I teach them growing up. So they'll end up better than their predecessors. It seems like a solid plan.

[This was what Ultron got for listening to Sephiroth's ideas.]

Anyone who says they're sharing all their secrets is lying. Which edge of Cruel Summer? Is it near the train station?

[ Mizu reads the plan and regardless of morality finds it incredibly stupid. Impressively stupid. ]

If you're seriously considering that plan, do some research into raising children. It's not as easy as you might think.

The other side. I put it out as close to the desert as possible so that if I'm working with something nuclear and it melts down, it won't kill too many people.

I plan to! After all, I've got plenty of time. It's not like I'm gonna head back to my world anytime soon.

[ The word nuclear translates, as it should, but Mizu only understands it is a form of power, not what atomic power is. The context is clear enough that it can kill people in a fairly large area. It leaves her intrigued, concerned, and curious. What would the fox spirit allow or do if that happened? ]

Inconvenient to visit, but if you fuck up, I'm sure people will appreciate not dying.

Even if you do, your plan is to take your time. You can learn more where there are, presumably, more children. Folkmore is lacking.

I thought it was pretty courteous of me.

[Was he being sarcastic? It was hard to tell.]

Yeah, I noticed that. Why are there so few kids around here?

You care about that shit?

[ Mizu doesn't even joke about having honor. It's a meaningless concept. ]

Must not be to the fox spirit's taste.
