While Maul was far smarter than the dumb hotheaded brute many mistook him for at first glance, the idea of interacting with math dragons wasn’t his cup of tea. He solved a few problems, ate an inordinate amount of cheeseburgers when a “If Billy has seven cheeseburgers, eats five, and buys ten more, how many does he have?” scenario cropped up, and then immediately headed for the races.
The idea of being able to transform into yet another creature temporarily appealed to Maul’s senses greatly. After listening to the safety spiel, he was ready to go. It was very easy to tell which one Maul was in dragon form given the the way he looked remained very consistent between the bodies, though his dragon body resembled that much more of Eastern style dragons then Western ones, being long and lithe without visible wings to allow him to fly in the air.
He turned around in a circle, examining himself closely, and was strongly reminded of the time he’d been turned into a Carnotaurus dinosaur on a previous occasion. At least this time he didn’t feel like munching on all the innocent people around him. It took a few minutes to figure out just how he was supposed to fly in this form and he crashed to the ground clumsily several times during the trial-and-error. If he came close to squashing another Star Child, oops! It was an accident!
Once he’d gotten the hang of moving about, he eagerly awaited being able to challenge someone else to a race. He waited there, clawed feet scratching the earth in impatience as he waited for an opponent to come along.
