[Oh no. Did he do it again? Must he develop such a fondness for his own boot leather now?]

Time moves differently in other worlds, [he says by way of offering an explanation, keeping his voice steady and as close to matter-of-fact as he can.] I had been here for nearly 10 months by the time Dante arrived, but to his perspective, it had only been mere seconds since he last spoke to me.

[This time Vergil does more than just spare her a glance and looks at Kyrie more properly when he speaks to her. Perhaps it may help in keeping her calm.]

It has been seven months since Nero's arrival. He's missed you greatly. [It's brief, but Vergil places his hand on her arm, giving it a light squeeze before taking his hand back altogether. He doesn't want to presume his touch is welcome more than may be necessary to ground her and keep her from spiraling.] But I can assure you that he has not been in a fit of despair all this time. He's waxed effusively and to some approximation of poetry regarding your virtues and his undying love and loyalty for you. I'm certain that were I to linger after delivering you to him, such preachings and declarations would consume the remainder of my evening and not yours alone as it should.
