[As Kyrie and Nero continue with their fawning over one another, the train pulls out of the station on its way to the next station in Epiphany before leaving the region entirely. With it goes Vergil's safer choice in extricating himself from this...interaction (read: nauseating display), and to give them their privacy. What little of it can be given until they return home, anyways. At least they seem to remember they're in public still by the way Nero seems to be sustaining a shade of red consistently since he remembered Vergil was standing right there. Ah, well. The train comes by frequently enough, he can wait for its return.]

[And it is good to see such genuine happiness on his son's face. Even if Vergil feels he ultimately had very little do with it, that hardly matters. That he's happy to this extent is more than enough.]

You're welcome, Nero.

[It feels an odd thing to say given it wasn't his idea, but he's just glad Kyrie has been returned safely to Nero, and that she hadn't been left wandering the wilds of Wintermute for longer on her own. It's not like Cruel Summer wherein the fauna are liable to try their hand at taking you down, but the environment is hardly any more welcoming once one wanders away from the main settlement.]

Earlier while you two were...greeting one another, [to use such generous language,] I realized that I left something at Mizu's cabin, and should retrieve it before returning home myself. [It is bald-faced lie that should in no way be remotely convincing to anyone. Which is nothing new. Vergil is a horrendous liar and too forthright for his own good. But perhaps these two are simply too lovestruck right now to really analyze if he's telling the truth or not.] I would not have you waiting for me here, so you two ought to make your way home now before it gets dark, or it begins to rain and she runs the risk of becoming further ill.

[His gaze falls on Kyrie.]

Forgive my selfishness, but I would rather not deal with him becoming insufferable with theatrics over the next few days because you have a head cold.

[He thinks perhaps she may be more accepting of that than more direct concern for her well-being given how quick she's been to dismiss or deflect it. And he also is able to complete a bit of fatherly responsibility by giving his child grief over how smitten he is with this young woman. Heh.]
