I did hear of your success with Crimson Dawn, eventually. But I was settled in my path by then and was unsure of how to leave it or approach.

I hope they do. I hope they all see what we were, and could be again.

I wish you had. Even as I was back then, it would have warmed my hearts to see a Nightsister had survived.

[There was a bit of guilt within him, knowing both Merrin and Morgan had been alive, alone and without a clan while he was off busy building his criminal empire. He would have traded much of it to be surrounded by Nightkin again.]

I believe it can happen. The steps have been put in motion, now all that is required is to keep going.

Between us, I do wish I had as well. I hadn't made contact with the Great Mothers yet, but I do not doubt we could have equally accomplished the hyperspace travel needed to meet them. My own would have been soothed of it's raw wounds.

And we are determined. I will not fail them.

I have heard rumors of other Nightsisters being in the galaxy. Some who were already off-planet and some that had enough time to evacuate during the battle. But I have yet to see if any of these are true.

I hear rumors as well. But none have produced proof. But I cannot blame any of us for digging in and holding to what safety and what people we were able to find. Some of our Sisters must have kits by now, uprooting them for uncertain rumors wouldn't be wise.

I'd like to think there is some truth to them. That some of the other Sisters were able to survive. Nightsisters are a clever and resourceful lot. If some escaped, they will be well-hidden by now.

There were options for escape - the ships our attackers came in. And others later came to loot. It was possible to hole up, as Merrin and I proved.

I want there to be dozens of us, seeded through the galaxy.

So do I. Perhaps there are. It's such a large place, there are sure to be at least a few more than you and Merrin left.
