PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

A baker, a seamstress but not a candlestick maker! Kate owns and operates Javacakes Bakery and Internet Cafe in Epiphany where she bakes the best cupcakes that you ever did eat.

I live in: Epiphany

I spend a lot of time in: Epiphany, the Tides

I choose these areas because: My apartment and business is in Epiphany. There is shopping and clubs in the Tides. They're really the most metropolitan areas in Folkmore. I'm from New York. I miss the city life.

Regions/locations I avoid: Cruel Summer & Exile

I avoid them because: Cruel Summer is hot and dry and aptly named. There are too many swamps in Exile. Why anyone would go there is beyond me.

I think I'm a Myth because: I've done some bad things while under a spell. I know what candied, human brains taste like. I poisoned people in order to see that mine and myself got ahead. The spell had to be drawn from somewhere in my mind, these traits can't have just magically appeared out of nowhere. Deep down, I don't know that I'm a good person.

Reasons I would form a Familiar bond: I'm not certain.

What I want from a Familiar Bond: Honesty and the ability not to repeat what I've just confessed to everyone else.

I have these physical traits: I have black talons. I keep them mostly filed down.

How I would rule the world: I would be a benevolent dictator. Yes, you have a choice. But your choices are of my own choosing.

My favorite forms of self-care: I like taking long, hot baths while reading a fun, smutty book. Wine is involved.

My dealbreakers are: People who chew with their mouth open. Poor hygiene. Jerks. Blowhards. Being dull and completely boring.

Candied human brains. What does that taste like? Why were they made?

[ She hadn't meant to write most of it. Now that it's out there she feels ashamed of herself. ]

They taste like sweet-glazed tofu with a hint of pork. A candied glaze is added and they are fried until the outsides are crispy but the insides soft. Its a hard dish to make, brains were usually studied and didn't end up at the grocer often. Hence wise it was a delicacy. One of the visiting lords of Hell threw a golden ball and there were every sort of delicacies imaginable. All of them horrible to think about now.

Wow, Kate, you almost sold me on candied human brains there for a second. [ I mean, really, they... still sound good but she imagines any brain would taste the same. All of them horrible to think about now is the thing that catches Sharon's attention. ] I know it can't be easy to think back on all that, though. There are some things I've done that turn my stomach even knowing I wouldn't have done it any differently.

Sounds yummy, right? [ Defeated sarcasm there. ] It's not easy. Even knowing that I was under a spell doesn't make it easy.

[ Sharon knows what it's like to commit unspeakable deeds under the influence of something else. She uses it as a way to distance her guilt but it's never enough. ]

You just have to keep reminding yourself. It's like... In health class in high school, we were taught how to love ourselves—Yeah, it's just as lame as it sounds. But it was just... reminding yourself. Over and over.

"I'm beautiful" and "I deserve to be happy" and [ she trails off and the next ones are soft and quiet ] "It wasn't my fault"

Yeah. I should do that. [ Just because she says she should do it, doesn't mean she will. It's not that easy, not for her. ]

Sharon? Are you okay? [ Because she notices Sharon's tone shift. ]

I dunno. A lot of good-intentioned stuff can absolutely be twisted by a spell, or possession, or... whatever. Doesn't mean you were secretly evil to begin with or anything.

The behavior had to come from somewhere. It couldn't have just been drawn out of thin air.

No. I was horrified with myself.
