Pandora's Fox II
PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.
Until now.
That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselvesβas long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!
Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!
This is game canon!
Forms for your characters!

Wish that I could give you that luck, but what they say about wishin's often true. [can't. couldn't do it for myself, neither. hate every moment of it when i remember that's how it is..]
Born in doesn't quite cover me, but it's close enough I could claim it. Might. Is that code for 'does'? Because if it is, I might hold one, too. Never had much use for most gods either, not the ones that have names. They've done me no favors. [to put it politely, even though it does not sound as if it's mean politely.]

[ And endless. All she can do is quiet it. Treat it like a monster she can keep in a box. ]

You ever hear about a cult called the Order of Valtiel or the Brethren?
no subject
knew a man once, too, and he could bleed the edge from everything and make the worst things sound like sunshine. misses him too, and that's ...well.]
First one's a no, but I've heard brethren used here and there. [it's not always bad, but it's been enough of a red flag that she doesn't like it.] You sound like you mean it less general and more ...Brethren, comma, The.

[...that's true. and there are those she would wish so hard to see, and those she still checks the shadows for, now and then. sunlight, too. one in particular likes the light.]
no subject
Oh, trust me, I'd make them regret being born if one of them showed here. In a place where death isn't permanent, suffering is.
no subject
that last sentence, though?]
I like you.
no subject
Thanks, I like me, too. [ That is a lie but some days she thinks she's all right. ]

You got a name I can pin to a voice?
no subject
It's been nice to speak with you, Estelle.
no subject
Stella, please.
Nice to speak with you, too Miss Sharon Da Silva. [that's a fancy-ass name, right there. and now she can see that sharon has answered the questions. so after a few moments:]
Tell me about this art. What is it you make?
no subject
no subject
No, that doesn't sound like everyone's cup of tea. Might be mine, if you'd like to show it off.
no subject
Any of that your cup of tea by any chance?
no subject
I'd say. [it's appropriate for sharon's willingness to show off and just how much tea is in the cup for these.]
That last one's a beauty. First one, too. [they all are.] You ever use your own blood in your art? [she doesn't use hers in some things anymore, but were she an artist, she might use it in that.]
no subject
I've thought of turning it into a pigment, yeah. I can't use my blood normally, though. Beyond the vampire boyfriend, uh, my blood freezes when exposed to the air.
no subject
but blood that freezes when air hits it? that's something else entirely - she's got no context for that one at all.
she wonders if this has something to do with the aforementioned cult. if they instilled such a property, or prized it somehow, made good on whatever suffering she'd undergone.
unbidden, her father's voice comes, and maybe it sets her own blood to ice for a moment:
"you think the cold means death, but it donβt. not really. the cold is where the old fire sleeps, dreaming of all it used to burn. you can smell it in the ashes, canβt you? thatβs where the sun keeps its memories. down in the dark places, in the ice that cuts deeper than bone. itβs calling us down there, estelle. itβs waiting."
that voice no longer belongs to a person. so it gets no answer. she just waits until it finishes spouting its nonsense. it's only a memory. the thing that wears his skin now doesn't even have a voice, she thinks.]
It freezes? [she tries to picture it. might be useful in a situation where a cut's done deep. if it freezes, would it stop one from bleeding out?] That would make it an interesting pigment, though I can't say how you'd work with it. I'm no artist. Well, not like that.
So that's all just paint?
[it's the nasty things that reach out to stella - the ones that are truly terrible, and the ones that are just misunderstood.]
no subject
—but, yeah, all paint. Some of it had to be thickened to achieve the texture I wanted, though. [ And boy howdy does it affect the time it takes to dry ]
no subject
[it's impressive that that's all paint - the thickness of it, the texture. she's never seen anything like it.]
You've got some way with paint. Never seen anything like that. How much Lore would one of those cost, assuming you mean to sell, that is. [some artists create to create and they keep their creations close.]
no subject
[ No matter how much she wanted to do, there was only so much time in a day (even when you only need about four hours of sleep a day—less on a good day). She focused on training, painting, and spending time with the people she loved. Limited, sure, but it was nice.
She's painted for people before. It seems strange to charge. ] I wouldn't charge. Everything is practically free here; just conversing about the details would pay for the materials.
no subject
Oh, I ...know some about blood. Certainly not that it might freeze when spilled, but I do know there are certain things at play that...mmm. Less visible things, let's just say.
[her barrow blood is why she's likely a myth - it's 'likely why' a lot of things. it doesn't feel right to just accept something that fine without some fair exchange, even if it is lore. lore's currency.]
I'll agree to that as long as I can compensate you for the time spent, as well.
[she doesn't charge for tinctures of a certain kind when a woman (or her family) can't pay, but she most definitely did when they could - things like that take time to craft, and some take longer than others. the luxuries she made? she might charge a wealthy person double if the mood struck her. but it's all fair as far as she's concerned, even if the rules fluctuate.]
no subject
You wanna keep me company while I paint it? I can't promise I'll call you over for every session on it but enough that I think we could call it compensation.
