Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme, April Fools edition! See, Thoth learned about April Fools from reading Chaucer but enjoys that it's an ongoing thing. Thoth's switched things up. Initial messages (aka top levels)—all set April 1st ICly—maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

If it is, I mis-texted, but in that case I also take it back. I am absolutely hitting on you if you are my redhead.

No, this is Chuuya. Not Cal, and not your redhead.

Who is this? [ If this is Dazai purposely fucking up his name and calling Chuuya 'his' redhead, Chuuya is going to be pissed. ]

My apologies. My name is Merrin; I do not believe we have met.

Okay. [ That doesn't sound like a dumb name Dazai would make up. ]

We haven't, but I haven't been here that long.

It takes some time to get used to the strange happenings that are commonplace here. Thirteen has an unrivaled sense of whimsy.

I do stand by my assertion, however, that redheads are very easy to become attracted to, though perhaps I only think so because it is an unusual color among my people. Humans, not so much.

Whimsy is one way to put it.

Red hair is the least common natural hair color in humans, so it's still rare. Back in the day, however, it was associated with the devil and considered evil.

Fascinating. Where I come from, there are those who would consider me evil based on superstition and lies they have been told about my kind. I am a Nightsister of Dathomir, you see, and our tattoos and white hair tend to make us particularly visible as something to be feared.

What is the devil?

Eh, white just means you're really old or have really pale blond hair. People are a mix of idiots to believe it or people abusing those suggestions to take you out because they feel threatened. Assuming you guys didn't try to wipe out everyone else or something obvious like that.

Evil religious bad guy.

It is different for humans. Nightsisters' hair color changes once we come into our magickal abilities for the first time.

We are not the ones trying to wipe out parts of the galaxy that we don't like. We mostly kept to ourselves.

I see. There are many whose faith turns them down a dark path.

[geodesics]

Do you all have white hair, or is it just that everyone's hair changes color? [ People's hair doesn't change color when their abilities manifest, but even if they did, even if only sometimes, Chuuya wouldn't remember what color his hair was before. It's red. That's all he's known. ]

So that makes you one part of the galaxy someone doesn't like.
