Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme, April Fools edition! See, Thoth learned about April Fools from reading Chaucer but enjoys that it's an ongoing thing. Thoth's switched things up. Initial messages (aka top levels)—all set April 1st ICly—maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

Ah well, my friend is calling it a 'tour', but he seems to have quite the itinerary in mind.

Folkmore has a wide range of habitats and cultures within its bounds, so a tour is well worth doing. I've been to every region at one time or another, and I am glad to have done so.

I am Mel Medarda. I am from Runeterra and more specifically Piltover.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with either of those place names, but I'm glad to have the chance to broaden my horizons.

I was born on the planet of Kalevala, in the system of Mandalore, but have lived a great deal of my life in the city of Sundari, on Mandalore itself.

I do not expect you to be familiar with it. I shared so that should you meet someone else from either location—to my knowledge Viktor is the only other one from Runeterra at the moment, but that could always change—you can place what you learn from me and them in better context. We all learn so much information about new and foreign places here that it can be difficult to contextualize it all.

[ Mel is not from a certain galaxy far far away. However, courtesy of a trial, she has brief and partial memories of being a senator in the Republic. With that comes a passing reference or two to Mandalore, though little more than to know they are a civilization of warriors. ]

I believe we have at least one other Mandalorian here in Folkmore, besides your sister, as I did not known of another Mandalorian.

I did see that other Mandalorin at the recent party - unless there's yet another one? Silver armor, doesn't remove his helmet?

You are welcome. No one has arrived from Runeterra since I came here a year ago, but it is hard to predict who shall arrive and who shall not.

The one who keeps his helmet on is the one I know of. For obvious reasons, he stands out. If there are others, I haven't heard of them. I would hope I would, but spread out as we are, it is difficult to get to know everyone here.

The party at Wintermute was helpful, but yes, I can see how that would be nearly impossible to keep track of.

Especially with people coming from such vastly different time periods. One can't even drop an occasional network post with a 'chime in if this sounds familiar' without potential shocks and confusion.

It's impressive as many people manage to connect that they're from the same universe, without having strong direct ties, even some of the time. Runeterra has had that name for a long time, and anyone mentioning the countries and cities of note in my time or the history I know before I could recognize, but who can say of the future? I would rely on them.

In the end, we must all connect as people, coming from vastly different worlds, times, and backgrounds within those worlds. We can learn from each other in ways we might not have considered before due to that lack of common background.
