Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme, April Fools edition! See, Thoth learned about April Fools from reading Chaucer but enjoys that it's an ongoing thing. Thoth's switched things up. Initial messages (aka top levels)—all set April 1st ICly—maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

[ He opens his mouth to point out all the things the Avengers didn't do and all the people they forgot about in their world saving and almost world ending but... doesn't. Now's not the time. ]

[ He goes to take the mac out of the oven, and places it down on the coffee table on some trivets. ]

Come on, you must be hungry.

[ He can smell the mac and cheese is not perfectly done. It doesn't smell terrible per say but Matt probably could've made better. ]

Are you going to eat any? [ He gets to his feet and limps his way to the table. ] Because it smells like you made enough for a family of four.

You think I was gonna let you eat all of this? I'm a super-soldier. I'm always hungry.

[ He digs a spoon in. ]

Don't mind if I don't get plates, I don't know where you keep yours.

[ Matt says things like that sometimes just because he knows it'll throw people off. ]

They're here. [ Since Steve will probably be a pain in the ass again he gets up and opens the appropriate cabinet so he knows which one it is. He comes back to the table with plates for them. ] The nuns would smack my knuckles if we ate like that.

[ He is not gonna call Matt out on what a strange thing that is to tell people. ]

[ He'll serve Matt some and spoon some for himself. It's not that he thinks Matt is helpless, but he does want him to relax a little, and Steve is really a serve-someone-else first kind of guy, it's not personal. ]

[ He's not helpless and he's terrible at accepting help. It's a great combination. ]

You break into anyone else's homes and mother hen them like this or is it just me?

[ That's all the answer he's giving. Yes, he does mother hen, and yes, it does annoy everyone else in his life. ]

[ It's a good humored jab at Steve even though he's annoying about the mother hen business. ]

[ That's curious. He figures the personality gives him that puppy dog eyes thing. ]

[ He shrugs. His senses give him a vague idea of how handsome Steve is as well but he doesn't easily talk about that. ]

You're lucky there's no existing legal system here. You'd be charged with breaking and entering in a week.

If there was an existing legal system, you'd have to fight Jen in court.

[ Who else would he even have to take his case? ]

And you are a hypocrite. But I wouldn't even wanna bring that up on cross.

[ He loves doing other things with Jen too. ]

It wouldn't be relevant anyway.

Thought she practiced out of California? What were you doing together in court?

It doesn't matter how conventional the entrance if it's locked.

[ Matt will argue just to argue. He's a lawyer that way. ]

She does. I have a client there and he needed me to defend him. It's how I met her.

Again, I didn't break a lock, you let me in. That's not breaking in, that's being invited. If I was a vampire, I wouldn't be dead.

[ He knows Matt's just being a little shit, but he's stubborn as all get out too. ]

Vampires can't enter a home unless invited it. It doesn't kill them.

[ He is amused by the confusion. Or perhaps Steve knows different lore than he does but well, it's entertaining. ]
