Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme, April Fools edition! See, Thoth learned about April Fools from reading Chaucer but enjoys that it's an ongoing thing. Thoth's switched things up. Initial messages (aka top levels)—all set April 1st ICly—maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

It requires a lot of patience, trust, and kindness for me to find someone like that for me. There are one or two here already that came from Trench and my own galaxy. The rest, I suppose, shall come with time.

A good fight once in a while. Fighting centers me and evens out my emotions. It is a form of meditation for me.

[He even had a T-shirt that said that! The Sith Lord knew that obviously wasn't the case for everyone but Maul was a bit unique like that in his mindset.]

A discerning taste. [ A pushup. ] It puts you at a disadvantage in a new place.

Fighting can ground me, or it can get me kind of high and floaty? I don't know how to describe it well. I go running regularly, especially when it's dark out, and I like that for me.

[ She smiles. The sunglasses may be a giveaway or may not. Sunlight can be a dick. ]

Have you gotten to fight here much? Perhaps at Agrona?

[Maul did a few more sit-ups as he spoke, a small sheen of sweat starting to appear on his skin. He'd been at this for a while now.]

Not as much as I would have liked. It is hard to find opponents that are at my level. I spend more time teaching than I do sparring with others.

[ Gideon grins. God she remembers the time she fought Erik in the middle of Leshy. It was so much fun. ]

Trust me, no matter your level, there's someone else here at it. It's a matter of finding them.

Perhaps I should put out a call on the network for people who would like to come spar with me?

That would work. Sure you might sweep the floor with some people, but others will give you a good fight. You might even find yourself the broom.

[ Gideon grins. ]

I'd spar you. I don't have magic or anything, but I'm good with a sword and hard to take down.

If I cannot find someone stronger than me to fight, that would rather satisfying.

[That meant Maul would have a goal to aspire to in beating them.]

I would enjoy that. When shall we meet up?

I'm at Agrona multiple times a week for a few hours a day. Don't do all my training there. So uh, some Tuesday afternoon?

Tuesday works. Though before lunch, not after. I have a feeling we'll both work up an appetite after such a bout.

Ooooookay. I prefer not to be too full when sparring, but hey, there's always eating extra meals in a day. That's a thing here. Eat when hungry.

Indeed. I have been on the hunt to discover the best pizza place in all of Folkmore.

As much as I've eaten most everywhere I can, Tides being an exception because huge, I'm not sure what I'd say the best pizza place is. Possibly my spoon because all my desires for the pizza get translated into reality.

I shall keep you updated on my opinions. Pizza is one of the best things Earth produced despite being such a primitive planet.

It's all in how you define primitive. Have they gone to space? Not most Earths. Mine has.

Have they? To other planets or to only Earth's moon?

Pffffft. The moon. Who cares about the moon? Other planets. Other star systems. Across the galaxy!

Well, it's about time one of the many Earths got up to a suitable point of technology and joined everyone else in the present!

Please, it's about time someone else now awed by interstellar travel showed up. Good job, buddy. It's far rarer for mail to come on paper than from shuttles flown around the systems.

Yes, yes, good. Everyone here thinks so small in terms of a single planet or even continent. But the scope of things can be so much more.

The universe is a large large place. Also, you know all those Earth people? Most of them are from ten thousand years before me. Roughly speaking. If our timelines were laid out to be parallel. Ooooooooooooooold.

Pizza is good. I'm sad we lost pizza.

Interesting. That might make you the furthest along the timeline that I've encountered of someone from Earth.

No pizza? How dare one of the only few things that make this planet worthwhile disappear!

Haha! Yes, I want that title. Who are my contenders?

Near extinction event. Survival. Blah blah blah. Much is lost. Short version.

A few immortals. But no one who comes that close.

Terrible. What a shame. Earth only has so many good things to begin with. To lose those is a tragedy.
