Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme!

Because it's still April and Thoth is still amused, consider this round two of the Initial Misfire Edition. Initial messages maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

Yes. Kleavor evolves with a rather rare stone, so it's only sensible someone with his interests would be chosen - though he's very young.

There's a mountain, with a cavern system, very near Kleavor's seat. We have gone exploring there before.

He must have a real talent with Pokémon for the Clan send him out to the wilds to take care of a very important one.

Well, yes, he does. His partner is a Goomy. They have good temperaments, as dragons go, but that's still a very difficult and unusual typing for a novice to befriend!

I personally would not have sent him out at such an age, all the same...but he's quite close to the Diamond warden nearest him. She helps to keep an eye on him. It's quite the same between Gaeric and Sabi, Lord Braviary's Warden.

Clan loyalties aside, Wardens are often alone in the wilderness, with no one about but each other for many miles. We look out for one another. Even those who care more about the rivalry than I.

Usually Dragon-Trainers tend to show a talent at a young age. They tend to be very serious.

I imagine so, it would be scary not to be like 'Well, if I need help, someone is nearby'

I don't know that he intends to specialize. His options would be very limited unless he traveled, anyway; the Gible line is the only other one about.

But then, it's extremely rare, in Hisui, for anyone to have more than one Pokemon partner.

I feel like he will probably get more one day.

Now, yes. Such things are becoming far more common.
Though I doubt he'd have exclusively dragons. I've always been surprised that he did not have a rock-type! Probably he will have at least one or two, one day.

Ground and Rock type would be good for someone interested in minerals. If I remember right, the Sinnoh region does have a lot of really good ones.

Oh, yes, there's a number of them!
I imagine he could easily have a Kleavor. Lord Kleavor's young like him. And a Gible to tie it all together, perhaps.

That would be a very nice team. Very strong. Need something to counter the ice weaknesses.

There's certainly a number of choices there as well! Those caverns are where I met Machamp, when he was a Machop. Or he could find any number of fire-types.

At least ice will be neutral against Goomy once he evolves. They can learn Flamethrower! Though I would certainly advise him to have a second counter.

Well, yes. Because of the shell?
Are they made of something else in other regions?

[Rock shell...? Though that doesn't seem as protective at all.]

They have no shells in other regions.

How odd. The shell seems like their most prominent trait to me.
And it protects them against ice and fairy-types!

They are just pure Dragon. I wonder what made them loose that typing, it seems like it would be good to keep.

Very beneficial! They really only have ground and fighting weaknesses - and some of them are even immune to grass attacks!
Not that they were very vulnerable there in any case, but an immunity is always good to have!

About how many are immune? Percentile wise.

I've never really made a study of it, but it's a good number.

I suppose it could be!
It does not seem like the most helpful thing, but their greatest strength is their defense. Any bit helps!

I suppose the others would have to have a different ability, but I'm not sure what that might be.
