Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme!

Because it's still April and Thoth is still amused, consider this round two of the Initial Misfire Edition. Initial messages maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

Yes. Usually necessary per society, but not particularly comfortable most of the time.

Yes I know the discomfort of wearing something necessary per society. I didn't realize that wearing a bra was so onerous for some women.

They ain't always comfortable. It's nice keeping the sweater puppies in place during exercise or to avoid an escape, but I'd rather not wear one if I can help it.

Society dictates that you should stand up straight, thus I had to wear a back and leg brace. Both were fairly painful, but to be honest I think that my pride may have had more to do with it than societal pressure.

That sounds terrible. Were the braces only for aesthetic purposes? Or were there medical reasons too?

No, I mentioned it first therefore you are not prying. I had a birth defect that caused the nerves in my leg to become tangled with the muscle since it had become rigid. And because of the toxins in everything from air to water, my body was... Well, let's just say 'eroding' by the time I was an adult.

That sounds like a real challenge. Did the braces help at all despite the pain?

Did something happen to your world? Or has it always been that toxic?

For a time they did. And my world is divided into two distinct cities. One is Piltover and the other is the nation of Zaun, although it was just called Piltover's undercity for a long time. As you can probably guess Zaun is the poorer side. While Piltover is the wealthier one. It's a port city so it's always been a center of trade but now with the hex gates opened it's become a global center of trade. But that's most benefiting Piltover while Zaun was only getting their scraps.

What caused it to stop helping?

Sounds like it's time for the folks of Zaun to try for a revolution, at least from what I've seen happen in my world throughout history. Hex gates? Do y'all have witches?

My condition kept deteriorating. Eventually, I was little more than a walking skeleton with some skin stretched over it.

I can tell you right now that a revolution would be a bloody one but I'm starting to wonder if revolution isn't a destined conclusion at this point. Hopefully it is not, if only because Zaun would pay dearly while the rich topsiders have the best healthcare.

And no, the hex gates refer to a type of Technology that I helped to develop. It applies the scientific method to create magic so that anyone would be able to use it despite having no magical ability.
