Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme!

Because it's still April and Thoth is still amused, consider this round two of the Initial Misfire Edition. Initial messages maaaaay go to the wrong person! So not all hell breaks loose, replies carry forward with whoever you've reached, but you might be texting your innermost intoxicated or sleep deprived secret to someone you don't even know.

If you'd like to opt out of misfires, please include this in your top level (by prompt or overall). Otherwise, enjoy indulging Thoth's amusement and building some new CR.

This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and as spoons for players accepted into the game.

Now that sounds like something I would find fun as well.

It's very exciting! They restrain themselves somewhat, of course - if they really wanted, they could just rend space-time or some such thing to remove an attacker - but they are still very powerful!

I imagine if they enjoy battling, then such abilities would completely take the fun out of them if they used such power to win all the time.

Indeed! There would be no true victory in winning such a battle - it would not even really be a battle at all!

Hmmmm, a good reason never to gain UNLIMITED power. I would be miserable if my opponents didn't present a challenge for me to take down.

I am one of the strongest trainers in Hisui, sunce there are so few there. I know that I certainly mourned the lack of interesting challenges before some others came along!

Yes. Becoming the strongest may be satisfying but it is also lonely on top.

When there is no one willing to challenge you, at least!
I do enjoy teaching, but that is rather a different sort of activity.

[Maybe it challenges him in different ways, but it isn't at all like having a good battle.]

I feel very much the same. There is a certain satisfaction to be found in the teaching that I do but I also relish the idea of a good fight.

To only teach the basics would be stifling after a while. One must be able to challenge their own limits as well!

I do look forward to the time that some of my own students may be able to provide me with such a challenge. But it is rather far off with most of them. The challenging trainers I know are not people I have taught - which is for the best in many ways! They're better able to surprise me!

Perhaps if I can get Cranky stronger I can be one of those. I've told him *I* shall be the one to decide when he's ready. As far as he's concerned, he's ready to take on Bo-Katan's dragon Pokémon, and I've told him absolutely not. That monolith could just STEP on him to win the battle!

Goodness, that would be a very bad idea! I haven't met that one in particular, but Dragonite are very strong Pokemon, and partial flying-types to boot. His flying attacks would be extremely effective against Cranky, and any fighting-type moves he knows would be ineffective in return.

I shall have to remind him of that the next time he wants to engage in a battle. He can be QUITE the little nuisance, although he's gotten better since I've started training him in the same type of fighting style that I am used to.
