Ten Things to Ten People
Ten Things to Ten People

[An anonymous post appears on the Folkmore network:]
Welcome to Folkmore's Ten Things to Ten People meme!
Sometimes we all have trouble saying things we really want to say to people, or feel like there are reasons we shouldn't. But getting it off your chest can be good.
- Pick ten people (or however many you want, I'm not your boss) to write brief messages to them specifically. Negative or Positive. Post them, anon, or you're really brave, attached to a screen name.
- Do not say who they are meant for.
- Everyone is free to respond, or even guess for whom the message is intended.
[[OOC: This meme is IC. Ten messages not required, that's just the traditional meme name. And, as always, memes can be game canon, if you decide you them want it to be!]]

2. I know you think you left me, but you didn't. You were with the other girl, and I don't blame you for it. I think she needed your sword more than I did, here.
3. I don't know what you want. I don't think you do, either. I wish I had some way to help you, but I fear I'd only drive you away.
4. There's very much we haven't said yet. I suppose I didn't want to give you anybody else to mourn. I should tell you about my brothers and sister, sometime.
5. I don't know what would have become of me without you. Before we had our bond, I was always afraid anyone might prove false, no matter how kind they seemed. You showed me that knights can still be true.
6. I wish I could be as kind as you, someday.
7. I always like speaking with you; I'm sorry we don't do it more often. Perhaps I should make myself easier to find.
8. I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I hope I haven't hurt you.
9. There's little I wouldn't do for you. You remind me of my own sister, but more than that, if Ezra and I were ever to have a child, I imagine she might be very like you.
10. I didn't pay very much attention to what my maester had to say about you, in truth. Most of it had to do with battles, and I never thought them interesting.

There's a prince here from my realm some 170 years ago. His name is Aemond Targaryen. He rode a dragon said to be twice the size of Allen's. I named my hound Vhagar after her.
He's very rude and on the wrong side of a war to my ancestors, but I don't think he's cruel for the sake of it, like Joffrey. He didn't bother to introduce himself to me when we met, but he has silver hair and an eyepatch. He's only just arrived, I think. He could scarcely believe I came here from a different time to him.

This Aemond guy didn't give you any trouble, did he? [ Like sure, she knows Sansa is fully capable of taking care of herself and she's got a direwolf that could easily turn someone into chow. But, still... ]

I don't imagine he'll do anything worse to anyone else unless he feels they've done him some injury. In my realm men like that are quick to attack any girl on her own, and house Targaryen was never known for its subtlety.
Sometimes they went mad later on, but if he had gone around kidnapping people or burning them alive, doubtless it would have been written down somewhere. If our world couldn't drive him to madness, I doubt this one will.

I don't know, a guy like that sounds like he's going to have major adjustment issues, Sansa.

That's very kind. I was very young when I was separated from my family, though not as young as some who share my fate. I'm sorry to hear you've lost your kin as well. It's my hope that they might join us here someday.

Merrin was younger than I, but we were both children. One of our Sisters was little more than a toddling kit when she was sent out, just her and her mother. I couldn't imagine a fate so lonely, and in truth, I don't want to.
I've found a Sister and a Brother here, more than I imagined having again. I hope yours is able to find you here. Humans do slightly better than Nightkin do without our Clans, but from what I have seen, not much.

Yes, Razor is a brother to me. I don't think we've been introduced, my name is Sansa Stark. I'm glad he has someone else to care about him, though we're hardly the only ones.

My name is Rin Asano. It's nice to meet you!
He has many friends, huh? I'm not surprised.

It's for a little girl, Vi.
I don't know if we can have children here, but I don't intend to have them with anybody else. And you didn't miss a wedding, either. Little has changed between us, except––Ezra came here before The Reckoning parted the sea. He didn't remember that we promised to stay together afterward. I don't know if you remember me telling you about it.
I did write one for you. It's further up the list.
no subject
further up the list, sure. scroll, scroll.]
not even gonna give me a hint or do i gotta just keep guessing
i can do that if u want
i dont remember that im not sure i even remember the reckoning parting the sea at all.
[she's unsure when she went into the sea at all. she'd been patrolling? hunting?]

[why is maul the only one that remembers things after may]
The Patrons made us a path to our own worlds, and gave us keys so we could come back if we wanted. Mine was gone when I landed in Epiphany, along with all my bloodstone and anything sharp.

there's pride in her chest as she scrolls up and reads, another little squeeze at her heartstrings, and she sits up straighter. bothers to actually ...type. properly.]
And so you do. She's pretty great. Because she serves a great Lady from a great House.
[did she capitalize it right? but she repeats her vows now, eyes soft: she remembers those, and she returns them with embellishments.]
🍁 ⚔️I swear to you, by the old gods and the new, and by the black sand on the beach, that I will learn to use this sword. And that I'll protect you if not with it, then with whatever else I've got handy.
[there's the pun, just as it was. and she did learn to use the sword. she isn't the best, but she's not terrible. her teachers were good enough to make some impression, even if she couldn't stop staring at one of them.]
And should they show up, I'll protect King Robb, and all of House Stark and its banner people. Like Nymeria and Visenya, I will protect and defend the people I care about. I swear. ⚔️🍁
So they let you travel ...home and then gave you a way to come back to Trench if you wanted or needed to? And then you just ended up here without it? What's their beef with sharp things?
[they'd let her keep her boots but not her gauntlets. the boots have blades in them, the gauntlets were ...why is she trying to make any sense out of anything? she should know better.]
no subject
I suppose they let me keep most of my sewing supplies. It was only my dragonglass dagger and the shears with sharp edges that were gone. Perhaps they don't want us fighting anyone right when we land. Or perhaps they don't have enough Lore to bring them over with us; I've noticed swords and daggers cost a lot more than clothes, and even ice skates, which have blades at the bottom.
[sansa has found a new hobby!!!]

maybe you're right about the fighting, but they seem to be okay with sparring ??? or maybe it's a case by case basis because its not like they took my hands away. i keep trying to make it make sense and i should just sit back and let you do that.
youve got ice skates and a boyfriend too? hell i miss everything dont i? ;)
[that is the most heartwearming thing and i just cannot. she could be the ice dancer to aryas waterdancing now. vi supports this hobby sansa! it's perfect!]

And you knew about Ezra, but I'm sorry you missed the outdoor skating in Never Fade. I can take you skating with me at the rink in Kuma Lisa, but they don't have drinking chocolate. I suppose we can find some afterward. Epiphany is full of nice things to eat. There's plenty to be found just on Luan Street where we live.
[that is a perk but honestly sansa picked it because it's close to the train and she's not good at commuting]

Yes, I wrote that one for you. I told you about my brothers from Winterfell, but I don't think I told you very much about them. Our oldest brother Robb was murdered, and so was his wolf. He was brave and kind and strong, and he was only a little older than I am now when stupid men killed him for stupid human reasons.
I couldn't help him––he was trying to help me. But I learned very much about stupid human rules and reasoning when they held me prisoner. I mean to use what I know to win back my home for my little brothers and sister, to make a safe place for us. And I hope I can make this place safe enough for wolves––for you.
In my realm, humans feel threatened by wolves, and so they wanted to be rid of that threat. They killed Lady because they thought she was dangerous. If people understood that wolves don't want to hurt them, and if wolves understood that stealing livestock was more trouble than it's worth, then wolves and people could live side by side. I think I can help the wolves to understand that, and a lot of people, but some people are too stupid to do what's best for them. Sometimes I fear they'll want to be rid of you, too.

Hard to teach, wolf. Hunting normal. Humans keep animal in field, easy to catch. Cannot learn when killed.
[ A bit unpleasant, but his voice lightens. ]
This is first time... you have called me brother, though.
