That's the best I can explain it. Hard to explain something you've known and grown up with your whole life as just part of the normal turn of things.
Like explaining electricity. Or guns.

theres this stuff called mako that is like the life and death of the planet
some1 dies and they join the lifestream and mako comes from the lifestream
and mako reactors turn mako into energy
