Texts From Last Night

Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

Nope! Back home, we used it as a way to claim lost objects, but we couldn't say finders keepers if my mom put out a plate of cookies because she wanted them to be found and eaten. Oh! Unless it's the last one. Or... maybe that's dibs.

Oh no, you don't have tupperware back home? That's the plastic container. It's name brand—which really just means it's more expensive and slightly better quality than an off-brand container. I usually purchase off-brand but they're not nearly as cute! I don't mind paying a little extra for cute!

But presumably your mother did not usually hide them out in public somewhere.

Ah - we do have the containers, but I was unaware of the brand name. I agree, cute is worth a little extra money. Or spoons, here.

Oh, no, only in the kitchen.

You get it! Spend a little more, get something a little better. Or cuter! Or both!

You see, exactly, that is a different situation.

[Yelena actually doesn't know if that helps with her argument at all, but she's going to act like it does.]

Ideally both, yes.

Well. Maybe a bit, but I still don't think it applies!

Well, okay.

Why are you leaving these things around?

[personal profile] lunchboxs 2025-03-20 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
To spread a little joy, of course! Who doesn't enjoy finding a secret special hidden goodie?

Plenty of people would enjoy finding something like that, sure, but people don't usually put out things like that.

They sure don't—which is a real shame if you ask me! I do it because it's something I did back home. Granted, it was for a very specific person who happened to enjoy knitting, but I feel as if it translates well to Folkmore.

I don't know. The more people doing it, the more likely something will be a more unpleasant surprise.

I don't think so. Why would anyone put out an unpleasant surprise? [ she literally does not comprehend. ]

[personal profile] white_widow 2025-04-04 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
...Because they wanted to do something unpleasant to people.

I don't understand why people would do that, but I doubt it's something we have to worry about here!

[personal profile] white_widow 2025-04-07 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well, maybe not. Maybe you are right.

I hope I am. I'd very, very upset if someone took advantage of other people's curiosity like that!

You do not think the Fox is regularly taking advantage of people's curiosity here?

Oh, I definitely think she is, but I also think it might be in her nature and the very reason we're here.
white_widow: (011)

[personal profile] white_widow 2025-04-18 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Does that make it okay? If it is in her nature?

[personal profile] lunchboxs 2025-04-24 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if it makes it okay, it's just an explanation.

Alright. That is fair enough.
