Texts From Last Night

Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

It was her Christmas gift for me, the year before last, and what a pleasure it is to say the year before last. I appreciate every moment we've had together here.
Ah, yes, I know that sound. Marriage is not undertaken lightly, and it comes with all sorts of challenges.

I am pleased to see you two together. After the life both of you have led, you deserve the happiness each of the other is capable of showing.
I never thought myself to be a marrying sort of Nightbrother. It is one of the stranger turns my life has taken.

Would that we could all find such happiness. The world would be better for it.
What made you such unmarriable material?

I did not think I would ever find someone who accepted me for who I am wholeheartedly without wanting to change me to become their idea of "better." Or that I would find someone to love whose inner darkness matched my own. And yet I found all of that and more with Reaper.

It is no less remarkable the second or third time that it happens, though as I know of little difference in lifespan between you and your husband, I hope you may never have the opportunity to find out.

Reaper is functionally immortal. While I have a potentially long lifespan if disease or a death blow in a fight does not interfere with it, I will not live forever. He once told me he shall build a monument in honor after I am dead and eternally guard it. Quite a romantic idea in my opinion. Of course, there is every possibility that what can kill him simply hasn't been created yet. I'd prefer to be in death with him that forever separated, parted between the veils of Life and Death.

As someone functionally immortal, unless something should happen to me, death will come in time. It always does. If nothing else, the universe one day shall end and him along with it. You may have to wait for him for some time, but he will come. I am sure of it.

That is a comforting thought, to know we will not be parted for all eternity, but only for a vast amount of time.

I am glad for the comfort it brings and am certain in the joy you two will have each time you reunite.

The joy will be create indeed, enough to create another star if it was put out there physically in the universe.

A beautiful way to think about the stars. It means there's a vast amount of love in the universe, more than we've counted.

I am not much of a poetic sort but occasionally I can find a beautiful turn of phrase.

A blessing of the use of language.

A true compliment from one so eloquent as you. I still have that quote you told me once framed on my wall in beautiful calligraphy. I ponder it from time to time.

So our legacies are parts of ourselves we do not predict, much as we cannot always know the effects we have on others.

As usual, well said my friend.
