We've certainly all had choice things to say about Ikaris too.

Sounds like it's got the potential to be funny if you're not the one targeted by the illusion.

Do you remember any of those choice things? I know he's kind of a divisive figure, but it seems like...there's still a sort of a familial bond there?

It was. I remember one very fondly.

Most of those things were said recently. After we learned of his...views. We've always had views on each other though. Disagreements. Is that not true of all those like family?

Absolutely true. I used to wonder with Ammit's plan if squabbles would exist still. Fighting with family doesn't really seem to fit into the idea of a complete paradise on earth.

While it doesn't seem to fit, I also can't see how it could ever truly be eliminated. Unless it were a world where everyone shared the exact same opinions on everything. But what sort of world would that be?

Poor guy. I'm guessing he had a good sense of humor about it.

Freedom really shouldn't be the cost for anything, I can see that much now.

Imagine thinking like everyone else here. I know some good people here but... sometimes the priorities can seem a little juvenile.

He was too gentle to be annoyed for too long over it. I did feel a bit guilty for laughing as hard as I did.

A hard lesson to learn and to hold onto. Particularly when one must watch others utilize their freedom for the wrong things.

Many here seem content to ignore the situation at large and focus on the time between trials. Whether or not that is a skewed priority is somewhat difficult to say entirely.

It sounds like a good memory though.

Right. I'm trying to keep my stakes low when it comes to dealing with people's personal freedoms. Being uninvolved seems impossible, but I try to meddle less.

Downtime should help keep people sane; instead people get occupied by little things. I have two neighbors right now who are clearly interested in each other but they won't tell the other how they feel. Since I know them both they keep asking me questions about the other person.

After enduring a conversation like that, I'd almost rather deal with the basilisk from that Trial you mentioned.

It was. A good one to have as the last time we were all together and still at peace with each other.

At least there seems to be little here to meddle in. Perhaps.

🤭 I hope for their sakes they find the courage to speak up before it's too late. One ca never tell when someone might disappear from this place.

So far I'm keeping my nose clean. Put me back in the wilderness for a couple of months again? I might freaking lose it.

That's a valid point. They're a little different but I guess I'm rooting for them to figure it out.

Not enough to be their messenger pigeon though.

That is certainly not among the trials I would want to experience again.

No? I'm rather surprised to hear that. I would think you might wish help them along.

I'm hoping we don't have to.

I think they'll be fine on their own. Romance isn't really anything I'm particularly prolific at.

Or do I just come across as nosy?

Nosy has such a negative connotation. I would go with...curious instead.
