When you live in the middle of nowhere, you generally have to invite the whole school to your parties to make it look like people actually showed up. Even the nerds. :)

There are plenty of bad things about being an adult, but it is a relief that I don't have to care about what high school kids think about me anymore.

How long have you been out of high school?

Almost five years. I recently graduated from college and finished an internship. I was just hired on permanently at that job when I met Thirteen and ended up here.

Five years is too long to be thinking about what kids in your high school thought about whether or not they should invite you to parties. Anyway, not that it matters, but mine are usually open invitation, so you're welcome at any of them.

Right. It doesn't consume my every waking thought or anything, but sometimes a situation comes up that brings back an unpleasant memory.
