Darling, I'll admit, the idea was tempting once. Control a cult, control the world. Now it seems more trouble than its worth.

Besides, why should YOU get to be the leader?

Because I've done it before. I had a nice little cult I ran in the previous world I was in. The best part was THEY came to ME and wouldn't take no for an answer until I agreed to be their leader. Quite a satisfying experience to have people so loyal to you they are willing to live and die at your command.

How did you manage to attract so many people without, well, even trying? Just what sort of reputation do you have?

Well, at first there was this prophecy of someone who would come to lead them. They had been waiting a long time for someone who fit the parameters of it and it turns out I did. That's how it started.

Others joined when they came and witnessed my power or heard me speak on the philosophies I had them follow.

Ah, a pre-existing prophecy certainly WOULD be of great convenience. That makes all the difference.

Once people already expect you to be their savior, all you need to do is play up what they think they want.

Yes. And what they wanted was to be not afraid anymore. To be warriors instead of victims. So I gave them what they asked for and they were grateful. Do you know how convenient it is to have ten people who have sworn absolute fealty to you? Even one of my blood brothers joined!
