I came back from it stronger than ever, so it wasn't all bad. It's hard to kill me physically or emotionally for long.
Many. Sapient eels that traveled over land instead of through water, several amphibious species that live underwater for almost their entire lives, and other species that would take me many paragraphs to describe. There's even an entire region controlled by a group of gangsters that are essentially giant slugs.

....Come to think of it I suppose from a human's point-of-view I too might be a 'weird alien species.'

[He always thought it was the horns more than the colorful skin. Human beings had a primal instinct within them that seemed to look at something with horns and immediately peg it as something that might try to gore them to death.]

Possibly. Though humans seem to be quite ubiquitous species. They multiply fast. Like rodents.
They also taste delicious.

[Maul had eaten at least one of them during a period of time when he'd been mostly insane. But hey, he wasn't about to let a perfectly good dead body with meat on it go to waste!]

The Hutts do have a certain presence about them, it is true. You'd think they might come off as ridiculous but there's more menace than amusement to be found in them.

I don't eat them ANYMORE! It was desperation that drove me to it during a period of time when I was stranded on a planet with no other sources of food. It was either eat sapient species or starve and I wasn't about to starve.

I survived. That was the important part. And I'm still standing now.

Good to know. Occasionally I need reminders for I was socialized.....poorly in the past.

I shall take you up on that. The main problem with growing up being taught to be a weapon instead of a person is that I know 47 different ways to kill someone with my mind. And that's just off the top of my head. But actually interacting with people? It's a much more difficult task for me.

As I said, that's just how many I could name off without really having to put a lot of effort into it. I could get to over a hundred easily if I wrote them all down.

A valuable skill I have yet to master. Just....talking with people in a normal fashion isn't always easy for me. And while those who know me well understand, I tend to end up faring badly whenever I speak to new people.

its true people are scared off by a lot of different subjects that probably shouldnt get brought up in casual conversation
ill try and help out
show you like the levels between really casual small talk with strangers and talking with people you actually know

I'm sure the answer lies something along the lines of 'because you're a good person' but I have to ask why help me? What are you getting out of it?

[At least in his book. Decent people usually became better. They didn't end up becoming worse, at least when it came to people who weren't Force-sensitive.]
