Well of course I'm contributing, otherwise they wouldn't keep me around.

You're right, I wouldn't keep around a team member if they were performing below average to the team. I'd move them to a different group with similar skill levels.

Well we were on a time limit for another job we were on our way to- could've messed it up for everyone if we got held up too long. But if we didn't help the parents the kid's would've been taken to an orphanage like I was and I knew it'd be terrible for them.
