[Hmm, she might? Files that away in Important Sharon Info in case it comes up. Knowing Thirteen...it probably will, at some point.

Sharon moves away and Cloud opens his eyes, taking the mirror from her. He's not expecting much; maybe some weird kind of disconnect, like when he'd first seen her severed head makeup. The double-take that comes when your brain doesn't believe your eyes, not that it's-

He stills.

A few seconds of staring, then Cloud reaches up slowly with one hand, almost touching the 'stubble' before lowering his hand back down, not wanting to smudge it.] ...it looks real, [he murmurs, something tight in his voice. There are different colors in the brushstrokes; it almost looks like the hairs would catch the light if he turned his face, it looks so convincing. Very, very convincing. He can't stop staring, something swelling up in his chest.

Could his dad have looked like this?]

[ She picks on the tension in his voice, the shift in his expression; the way his eyes seem glued to his reflection as if he were seeing a ghost. A spark of curiosity flickers in her. ] A little uncanny, huh? [ It looks real enough that even Sharon is thrown off. ] You made a good choice, it makes you look older. [ And that's what he wanted, wasn't it? She crosses her arms and nods her head approvingly. ] Suits you.

[The staring goes on for a little too long and it occurs to Cloud abruptly that he may be getting a touch too emotional about some makeup beard. He clears his throat before (reluctantly) holding the mirror out for Sharon to take back.] It came out really good. I thought I'd look like a dumbass.

[fogsong]

[ As she takes the mirror, without missing a single beat, she says. ] Oh, no, you look like a dumbass, just an older dumbass. [ She looks back and flashes her teeth as if to say "walked right into that one". Her expression softens quickly, though. It's not like she's blind.

She sets the mirror down, grabs her relic (strawberry milk pink, hush), and snaps a photo. ] Say cheese, Mister Strife!

[Manages to get the middle finger up just in time for that photo, but you know what? After the magic she's worked? She gets a little half-smile in the picture too]
